Re: Jazz & Big Red ...Waiting to after the Olympics
Sheesh, I read it in the Globe and Mail, therefore it must be true  One wonders what an airline with some fairly large financial challenges is doing sponsoring a major sporting event like the Olympics? I'm assuming that the VANOC buy-in wasn't cheap.... The commitment to sponsor probably came...

Re: ACE who?
Probably before your time on here but I once suggested that when a stock goes down and with the expectation that it will go back up, it's a good time to "buy". As always, the teal remarks were rather sarcastic. So yes, I told you so. Anyway, what do I know, I'm not a big stock market player. I have ...

Re: Island in sights come 2010?
low-cost carriers should not be confused with regional airlines that operate short flights without service, or with full-service airlines offering some reduced fares". Seeing a company actually bringing service back into the Service Sector is if anything, refreshing. Pardon my ignorance but what ki...

Common Sense passed away
An Obituary printed in the London Times........ Interesting and sadly rather true Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will...

Re: March Maui Sched from ALberta
Stick. Now all of a sudden it's ok for AC to be "heavily discounted while providing full service" from Calgary to Hawaii? What's the difference between this and YZF that you were so opposed to before? Personally I think AC has done WJ a service. You've woken up management to practicality of widebodi...

Soduko. And during my break, enjoy a couple of hours sleep in the lie down suite. Or watch a movie. In the flight deck, I also spend time chatting with other airlines on 123.45. Lots of options.

Re: March Maui Sched from ALberta
Come on Tony you just trying to be dumb. Obviously the cheaper flights are already sold on Westjet and there is still room on AC. There is no way in hell AC would be selling tickets that cheap and still giving out hot meals, the price for that on AC will be about 2500. Ah, no. We still serve hot me...

Re: March Maui Sched from ALberta
Hey Four. You're right. I have to agree with your sarcasm. I mean why would a customer pay less money and get a hot meal when they can pay more and eat peanuts on a single isle airplane on a five hour flight? Yep, that's the world we live in. Let's not forget these flights will depart from cowboy te...

We will. We will. Let's put it this way, at least we're providing a more civilized service. But then again civilized passengers went the way of the dinosaurs a long time ago. We'll just have to see.

Relax soldiers. The actual payments are going to be 30 mil each quarter. Quite manageable in my view. I know, I know.......
