Re: How would you have voted if...
How was anyone afraid of arbitration? Flair and Westjet have set some benchmarks. I honestly can’t see how an arbitration process would leave you worse of then you already were or are now. The 67% is no shocker…. They were all happy to either vote 10 years ago for the crap or that went there in the...

What’s the worst that could happen if you disobey government orders to not strike? I only ask because I hear all this talk and fear about oh, government will do this & that, so what if you choose to walk out.

Re: TA
I seriously cannot envision a well qualified pilot jumping ship to AC at this starting rate. You gotta have a serious infatuation with looking pretty walking down terminals. Might as well remove the AtPl and 2000 hrs requirement because there ain’t much out there.

Re: When Will ALPA Accept a Deal?
And what is it that makes you think ACAMEC will get a starting salary below Porter, WJ and Flair? That’s just delusional 80k would put them below flair only. WJ and porter start lower than 80k. And even Morningstar pilots starts above 92k on day1... 85-86k I believe, 120k by yr 4-5. They got a good...

Re: Want American Salaries? Move to America
This article is toxic, insulting almost! I hope AC had nothing to do with its contents coz now I really wish you guys strike and leave stay home until every single demand is met…it’s not like you’re asking for anything unreasonable anyways. I hope everyone understands that you will eventually get wh...

Re: Fleet choices
RP does not at all necessarily have a better schedule. The RPs out of YYZ and YUL have most of the Europe trips that operate one way and DH back (unaugmented flight one way) which with 50% DH credit make those about 12-13 hours for 3 days. The result is the "famous" 18-21 day blocks at Air Canada b...

Re: Fleet choices
Any word on fleet choices in the last PIT class? Are there a lot of WB FOs in that mix or mostly NB FO slots? And what was the general experience mix in that last PIT? PIT classes for the past several months have been almost all NB FO with the occasional WB RP spot. Of the NB FO spots I'd say about...

Not a lot of positive opinions out there on Flair, I hope it’s really not that bad because god knows Canada cannot be left vulnerable to two predators on the market. I rely on Flair heavily for my commute and would donate ( not pledge haha) a couple bills to give them a lifeline.

He’s just angry that no one can post the details here yet. If they had any idea how negotiations worked, then there would be no bitching. Posting the TA is not happening right now, it you want it now you’ll be looking at tons of sheets with signatures, scratched out wording, etc all over it. How ab...

Re: Agreement in Principle reached
I think we all (especially the westjet guys and girls who were planning to be on strike today) need to see the actual TA before any comments are made on whether its a good deal or not. 100%. I never understood why the union gets to agree on anything before sharing details with the pilots. In the re...

Re: ground schools canceled
No layoffs and no forced base moves. With potentially 4 less aircraft then planned for this year the hiring will slow. Anyone awarded an upgrade will continue and, if we are heavy slightly, so be it. Flair has always treated its pilot fairly and that won't change now. The 'shrills' on here with the...

Re: Ground School Invites
Totally honest question, with most airlines looking for pilots why would someone pick Flair? Seems like the highest risk option out there besides maybe Jetlines. Totally honest answer. Pros; 1- Competitive salary, one of the higher starting FO pay and the new tentative contact captain pay is on par...

Hey Guys, I am 2000+ 703 captain with ATPL right now. I want to hear your opinion on my career path. I have a choice to make whether to go to Jazz or ULCC set up in YYC. Re: New hire bids
Lots of qualified F/Os at the company that don’t want to bid the left seat due to a rotten schedule as well….. Seniority is everything at Jazz. If you’re near the bottom you’ll work almost every weekend and holiday and/or be stuck with reserve or continuous duties aka stand ups. And they are horrib...
