Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

If you get an rp position on the 330, 777, 787 can you eventually upgrade positions to fo on the same plane? Or would you have to go on a narrow body to get that jet time and re bid to get back on a widebody as a fo? Forgive me, just curious how that whole thing works.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

anyone else hear anything? I know people that interviewed end of Sept and got a call this week for a Nov 21 start. they said in the interview you'd hear back 6-8 weeks if successful. Are they taking Jazz applicants again?

Life of a cargojet pilot

Hey all,

Just wondering what a typical schedule at cargojet looks like. Multi day pairings, what kind of routes you typically do, how many days a month you work, what a day looks like etc… that kind of thing.

Appreciate any info!

SAMRA exams

Hey all,

Wrote and passed my Saron and all I have left is the samra. Just wondering if anybody has written it recently? Are there still 6 exams and they’re still using the newest three? (14,15,16)? Anybody know? Which ones have people gotten recently. Anything helps!

Thanks in advance

Re: Wasaya "apprentice pilot" interview

I did the apprentice pilot interview about 3 years ago. Not sure how much it’s changed but I’m guessing not much. All your standard hr questions and there was a couple ifr questions. Ie how goods an altimeter setting valid for, alternate ifr requirements. Basic stuff

Does anyone have any current info on Morningstar? More specifically, on the 757. I have read the other forum that’s not to old but just wondering if they’re still hiring direct entry fos on the 57? If they are, what kind of time are people getting hired with? Any updates with expansion and the new c...

Re: Confederation College Student

I’d highly recommend to get in a small airplane for a fam flight if you haven’t already. There’s always a couple kids that have never been in a plane and end up dropping out because flying is not for them (getting air sick / don’t like it). The teachers well prepare you to write the transport exams ...

Volunteer experience on a resume

Hey all,

Just wondering if having some good volunteer experience on your resume would help getting on with the big guys ( Salvation Army, old folks home etc) . Does anyone have some insight on this?
Can’t see it being a bad thing nonetheless.

Appreciate anyone’s comments!
