I got a call this morning offering me FSS. The classroom segment would be in the Surrey ACC, but the assignment would be in the Edmonton FIR. It *really* isn't my preferred option, but I'll talk it over with my wife...

Wonder if they made all offers for May's IFR and VFR courses. Seems likely seeing as there's only ~12-14 seats to go around and it's not that many calls to make.... If I don't receive a call by the end of the week I think I can assume that there will be no offer forthcoming.

I asked a question about relocation for trainees in the assessment session and the answer was that there was not a "full" relocation package available as for licensed controllers, but assistance is definitely available. I was told at the interview that they are planning an FSS course in February, and VFR & IFR courses in May. So hopefully early in the new year we start receiving training offers.
