Re: Line of credit for flight training?
Read Dave Chilton's, "The Wealthy Barber Returns," (I haven't even read the Wealthy Barber) and you'll see how stupid Lines of Credit are. Really man, debt is retarded. Like many have said in this thread, work! Save! I'm serious, read that book. You'll be much better off down the road than if you ta...

Declined assessment session, now what?
Hey guys, just a couple questions if you'd be so kind, Last April I did the online application for NavCanada, and it took them a year to get back to me (got the email this past April). Anyways, in that year span I joined the military, and because I'm on a training course, am unable to attend the ass...

Re: Getting Rid of an Olympic sport
They should likely consider getting rid of hockey altogether as well as there are so few teams that are actually competetive. Maybe if the focus was on more "amateur" players rather than NHL'ers, the teams might be more balanced... Watch TV lately? Slovakia beat the Russkies and now we're losing......

Re: Anyone not cheering for team Canada?
I'm as red-blooded Canadian as the next guy Horse-shit. Hockey is who we are. You're not cheering for OUR team because they make a lot of money? Blame Bettman and his shitty operation of the NHL, not YOUR team, YOUR country. Remember, most of Sweden, Russian, Finland, and Russia play in the NHL and...

You losers will find anything to complain about, eh? This is PROFESSIONAL sport, not Peewee hockey. Its win or lose, no matter how big or small the differential. Not time to treat everyone like a child, where the only goal is to have fun.

TWN sucks. How many times I've seen the most ridiculous forecasts....like -8 and snow for YVR in September...really? I mean I know its 7 days away, and freak things do happen, but even a little common sense pisses all over that forecast instantly, forget what ever your "model" told you. And check th...

Cool, thanks guys. Certainly sounds like a good place...and driving the Sea to Sky, especially now that its practically 4 lanes the entire way, is a lot easier than doing Lions Gate + the tunnel every day...considering I work on the North Shore too. Invertago, thanks for the advice, thats exactly wh...

I've done some searching about this company but looking for some more insight into this company regarding their PPL training. What kind of aircraft do they have? How many? Instructors good ? Or a bunch of 200hour wonders? Squamish would definately be an easier commute for a West Van boy such as myse...

How do schools rent for multi-day XCs?
Just a question here, if I wanted to do a multi-day behemoth of a cross-country, as build-up for my CPL hours, say Vancouver - Regina, or even further, in a school's C150 or something similar, how would they charge you? Surely an hourly rate for a trip like that would be silly, so how does it work? ...

Building Hours for CPL/Order of obtaining ratings
Hi Gents, I'm looking for some advice. I'm starting my PPL in September (FINALLY can afford it) and after that, I'm looking to get my Night Rating and CPL, but I'm a tad confused on the hour building needed as a pre-req to the CPL. Assuming my do my PPL in a modest 55 hours (10 more then the minimum...

I'm sure his bro is a decent guy but once you are alone with a group the peer pressure kicks in. Especially when they are armed. "You are either with ur or against us"...remember that one. The fact is, any strongly religious person with a gun in his hand and permission to fire it is the #1 threat t...

There is nothing I would like to see more this year then the Habs shut everyone up and win the Cup. Douchebag Mazkenzie said they're going to do nothing, we'll make him eat his words. Theres also nothing more I'd like to see then the Canucks ousted in the first four games...I've never hated a team a...
