there were at least 20-25 complete strangers in those days , when CAATS was implemented. you would have lost your mind asking ID to all those guys you had never seen before.

let's say that those "journalists" have got a pretty good hint from someone inside. They showed up a few days after the third CAATS ORD, when a lot of engineers and other CAATS specialists were hanging around in the ops room. pretty tough to find the journalist among all these guys....

the back up for 133.97 is located in YYU, so if you're on the ground at YTS, you won't hear anything.

Why didn't you just buy something that already works in a number of ANSPs (the bugs are already ironed out) off the shelf? because they already spent 20 years and >2 billions on that! they would look pretty stupid to flush it down the drain and buy thales' stuff. and they look not that sharp trying...

Hello everybody, I'm starting IFR training in yvr next month and saw that they are implementing CAATS next may, right in the middle of my training. Should i be expecting to have my training stopped for a bit?? And for how long?? Thanks SeaDawg they forgot to mention it was may 2014... don't worry! ;)
