Re: Question for Montreal centre High-level sectors

easy said, buddy....

there were at least 20-25 complete strangers in those days , when CAATS was implemented. you would have lost your mind asking ID to all those guys you had never seen before.

Re: Question for Montreal centre High-level sectors

let's say that those "journalists" have got a pretty good hint from someone inside. They showed up a few days after the third CAATS ORD, when a lot of engineers and other CAATS specialists were hanging around in the ops room. pretty tough to find the journalist among all these guys....

Re: Question for Montreal centre High-level sectors

the back up for 133.97 is located in YYU, so if you're on the ground at YTS, you won't hear anything.
maybe that's what happened.

Why didn't you just buy something that already works in a number of ANSPs (the bugs are already ironed out) off the shelf? because they already spent 20 years and >2 billions on that! they would look pretty stupid to flush it down the drain and buy thales' stuff. and they look not that sharp trying...

i work at YUL.
CAATS can do wonderful things.
CAATS is not perfect.
CAATS has a lot of potential if the serious bugs are fixed.
it will be 100 times better when all centers will be running on it and when we get rid of the bloody strips.

They are two completely different things.

the group you will be in has already been assigned to specific sub-units, and if i'm correct, january class will be for North and East sub-units. north is high level, mostly radar-covered, but with some procedural and oceanic control, since it touches gander's oceanic airspace. east is low-level, no...

IMHO, SHL doesn't give a crap at how you're dressed. most probably the person won't remember you when you will get the interview. honestly, i was pretty neat for the interview, but not for the test, and it wasn't a problem. remember: don't get fooled by idiots sitting next to you and make you feel m...
