$9.50/hr with no gaurantee of passing the interview. Actually, you have very slim chance of passing it. They let only one guy to be on the list out of many rampies they have. A lot of pissed off rampies. and if you're not white, forget it.

Yeah. I did multi rating with an club's instructor and it took him 3 flights. and 3rd one was just a brush up. It is possible but I've seen people going above 20 hours also. They know you know how to fly a plane, it's all about the procedures.

Yes. Landing would be awkward. but taxing after that would be a problem. And you can even go backwards. I did this quite a few times during slow flight. Flying itself is all about airspeed. Just like if you're on a boat on the river.

There are more complex way to calaulate the drift angle but, Unless it's direct crosswind or direct head/tailwind, I start with half of the upper wind speed for the outbound timing and heading. 20kts wind 20/2 = 10 degrees heading correction into the wind on outbound. 20/2 = 10 seconds added/subtrac...

It happens almost everyday for us, since we go to a lot of uncontrolled airport / airspace. the clearance you will get is something like this "FABC, you are cleared to descend out of controlled airspace in vincinity of CXXX airport for an approach" or skip the approach part. then ATC usually asks yo...

Correct me if I am wrong Once you are cleared to descend out of controlled airspace in vincinity of CXXX airport(uncontrolled). the MEA for the sector/route is protected, meaning that ATC is not going to clear other IFR traffic for the same airport, unless you cancel IFR or make an arrival report. Y...

Your total instruement time(40 hours) counts from private. and you have to have 5 hours from flight instructor(part of private license training).

Since, everyone does training with flight instructor for their private, eveyone will have 5 hours with instructor. (part of private license requirement)

I know a few people did license conversion from overseas, including myself. one you get here, you will need to get Canadian medical ASAP, since it take some time(1-3 months). doctors' addresses for your area are in tc.gc.ca website or local flight school. Then try to attend aerocourse and write INRA...

Multi Engine Rating does not have minimum time requirements. It doesn't have a lot of exercises to do and it's more about procedures. So the cost of the rating varied depending on your effort to study and how well you are flying. I've seen people get the rating with about 2 hours on the multi and so...

Class E

It is controlled for IFR and uncontrolled for VFR. It's kinda busy airspace so that IFR traffic can get the protection from other IFR traffic. but not that busy to have everyone controlled.
