Re: Cabin Crew Banned From Day Off Doping
If society decides cannabis is legal, then it stands to reason you should be able to take part in societies basic functions without severe restrictions (eg driving, working, ...). Huh? Alcohol is legal and we severely restrict its use. You cant drive and work under the influence. Cigarettes cant be...

Re: Freelance training for instructor rating or / flight school
Kind of weird to ask this question in this way. I assume that if you want to use a freelance instructor then you have access to an aircraft and an instructor? If that's the case, (which it isn't for most) then I would say it's a good option. Going with a flight school gives you a bit more flexibilit...

Re: Flair Pilots Better Starting & Top End Pay Now?!
The best part about this is that: At $80k: Every extra $1 earned might cost about 28-31 cents in tax. At $350k: Every extra $1 earned might cost about 53-54 cents in tax So most of the large increase didn't even go to the Senior pilot, it went to the government. That's true. As is the argument that...

From TSB.... C-GCEF, a Diamond DA 42 operated by Journey Air Ltd., was conducting a flight test for licensing purposes with a student pilot and an examiner on board. The aircraft remained within the Windsor International Airport (CYQG), ON, area for the duration of the flight. While on approach, ap...

50% YOS is criminal Isn't it 50% better than what they had? Want to wager how many current FO's get upgraded in the next two years at Flair? I'd say it's a pretty outsized benefit given how many people may actually take advantage of it during this contract. Not only that, but if FOs at flair are ge...

Re: Air Canada Captain didn't have required license
Its even simpler than any of the above. If a company is granted an OC in canada, (yes there are a lot, but not as many as there are pilots) that should come with a login and access to an internal verfication on TCs website. All they have to do is login to TC's verification site. Punch in the license...

Re: Freelance Instructor Wanted – NOVA SCOTIA
Just wanted to make sure you know that you will need a class 1-3 instructor. Class 4 instructors cannot freelance.
I've ran into more than my share of people that were given illegal instruction from a fraudulent class 4 who's hours couldnt count towards their license.
Be careful.

I'm not trying to talk you out of corporate but yes you're absolutely at the mercy of luck of the draw when it comes to owners. Bonds are common so you might get hired by an asshole that you're now bonded $50k for two years of hell or you could get lucky and it's a dream owner. You won't find out u...

I would think it's slightly more difficult to forge It looks like all you would have to do is forge the sticker portion, change (H) to (A) and the letters before the license number. The harder to forge laminated part of the ADB with the security marks (photos) doesn't indicate the license type, so ...

You are missing some key facts, it appears there is no carry over for the exams, a full set of exams is required, the H exams do not focus on jet operations, some critical information given what he was doing. Another alleged fact, he forged documents and was in possession of a counterfeit mark, use...

Thanks for the clarification. That makes a bit more sense. We did not have thousands of topics violated but we did have thousands of individual grievances. I can assure you that we had a contract. That's why I am still getting paid. Many would argue that it wasn't very good, but in the end it had m...

Threads like this make you wonder who in their right mind would want to represent the membership. Management treats staff with contempt and you blame elected reps? 90 filed grievances that wouldn't be filed if legal didn't think the language supported them. I would be upset if ALPA wasn't filing gr...

Interesting that all of the accidents posted here specifically detail that the pilot did an inspection and determined that it was safe to land. Not to say there aren't any, but no accidents are posted for situations where an inspection was NOT done. I wonder how many accidents were avoided at these ...

Not to mention dozens of trips bach and forth to the cottage. It all de...

If you live near a large city(actually, in many small towns as well - based on my area), you can build hours towing gliders and dropping parachutists. I did that to avoid hanging out in remote places for extended periods of time. Even at low total time.....tailwheel time set you out from most other...

So yes, it appears as though the filed for bankruptcy in 88. He acquired in 89. It went under in 92. No where did it say anything about them filing for bankruptcy in 86 which would be the 3 years before trump quired it like you claim it was. Not sure how you made up your numbers. Almost none of what you said is true. Eastern Airlines Shuttle was a profitable sector of Eastern Airlines and in line with owner Frank Lorenzo’s asset-stripping of EAL it was sold separately to Trump three years before Eastern Airlines bankruptcy. Trump ran it out of cash in a mere 18 months tryin...
