Re: Toronto to Niagara in 15 minutes
GTAirways is also operating chartered flight out of Thunder Bay for Kasper Aviation which has taken a sort of New Leaf approach to air ops. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-b ... -1.4053127

Re: Thinking of leaving aviation
I think it comes down to having your career in line with things your passionate about. Obviously it seems you have no passion or limited passion for aviation but for some people flying isn't "lost time away from friends and family". Work is work. So no matter what you do you're going to have to do s...

Skydive Operators - NOT SKYDIVE TORONTO
Hey all,
I'm looking for some information about Skydive operators in Ontario. A million threads about how bad Skydive Toronto is but not much info on Swoop, Burnaby, or Parachute School. Hopefully these companies are more respectable. PM's appreciated!
Thanks,

Going to resurrect this old thread by asking if anyone knows which of these, or any, survey companies hire wet CPL's. Planning a bit of a road trip.
Thanks,

Re: Pilot in Waiting
Currently, it is still a market for us pilots with some experience aka 1000+ hrs. With this in mind, the 200 hour wonders are well situated in terms of acquiring the ground job and jumping up to flight line in a quick manner due to quick upgrades currently happening in the industry. In the last yea...

Re: Pilot in Waiting
As a 200 hour wonder about to enter the work force, I'm looking for any sort of tidbit or piece of advice anyone is willing to throw my way. I like the adventurous challenge that's ahead! If anyone has any leads on where to go I'd love to go chase them down.
Cheers!
Cheers!

Re: Domestic 787 routes
Traveled on the 787 last summer from YYZ - YVR middle of the morning departure. I know this is an Air Canada thread, but I'll ask anyway. What airline is recommended for domestic travel? Comfort and customer experience is important and I'd gladly pay a bit extra to not be uncomfortable. Depends if y...

Does anyone have any updated information they could pass along? When is their survey season? How many hours could one expect to get?

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
So what should wet CPL's with the end goal of getting on at Air Canada be looking at doing? Seems to me there's a good chance of getting stuck at a regional if the PML music stops. Picking the regional you'd be fine with making a career at makes good sense.

Pictometry vendors in Canada?
Hey everyone,
Just curious if anyone has information on Pictometry vendors in Canada? I've found a boat load of operators in the US and it seems like a good way to build time. Is Pictometry a thing up here?
PM's appreciated.

Expectations for Roadtrip?
Hey all, I'm looking to plan a roadtrip for the spring. I'll be using the TC registry to gather info on different companies. It seems most useful to search by type. My question is: What specific aircraft types can a wet 200 hr wonder reasonably hope for for an entry level position? Thanks, Oh and an...

Re: Envoy air and the Americans
The Envoy Air recruitment page, starting pay up to 38$ an hour and upgrades in approx. 3 years. For a dollar less an hour and upgrades happening in less than 12 months, Canadian regionals still seem pretty decent. Did you take into account the exchange rate? Oh wow no I didn't, actually I didn't ev...

Re: In ‘stunning’ reversal, Pickering is asking for airport to be expedited
Why not just expand the YKF airport (10k foot 8-26, 7k foot 14-32), build a larger terminal on the north side of the airport, add another ILS? The land is there (would need to take some land from the turf farm off shantz station), the airport is there with a new tower being built, and its near a fa...

Well written FenceSitter. Looks like I'm adding Westjet to the list of parasitic corporations that siphon huge profits on the backs of their hardworking employees. As for the 10th grade. Don't sweat it. I'm taking the "how to get screwed by your employer by posting on their anonymous forum 101" cour...

Re: Geared turbofan delay for the CSeries a GE and Boeing team job?
This scenario is not so far fetched, it happened before with the Airbus A-300. The A-300 was the first large twin engined ETOPS airplane there were no suitable engines in existence at the time. Being a European consortium, Rolls Royce was developing the engine and received massive government grants...

Re: U.S. Work
I doubt there are any US companies sponsering pilots to attain a work permit. If the US does decide to sponsor pilots, Canadians will be in luck because of an advisory circular conversion agreement. Can you explain that little further or provide a link to that advisory circular conversion agreement...

I found this (http://www.mypilotcareer.com/air-canada ... view-gouge) website through airlinepilotcentral that seems to have interview questions from many airlines. Not sure if it's what you're looking for but it may help.
