Re: New hire bids

Just an example of one company starting to struggle is Wasaya. They had a job posting looking for 44 pilots! That closed on the 7th of June. Those positions ranged from Caravan, to Dash 8.

Re: Will JAZZ pilots have a higher seniority vs Encore?

You guys are wrong. If a pilot previously hired at a ALPA company comes to Jazz they just get first pick and seniority in the ground school class they come in. For example if there is a class of 20 people. And 3 are from ALPA company's. Out of those three they find out who has been a member longer. ...

Re: Sim Evaluation

I'll try to explain it. Basically it isn't one single "type" of aircraft. The flight schools website states it can be configured as either a 737,Q400,Crj. This is misleading though, I've talked to friends (who have had CYUL sims with jazz) and personality been to this flight school and seen the Sim....

Re: New hire bids

Yep yep, Heard from a buddy for example the bid package for May Schedule has 9 Reserve lines for cpt (meaning there will be 9 cpt on reserve) and on the FO crj schedule there is 0 reserve lines. Also just for comparison there is 58 cpt and only 47 FO I believe on the CRJ. Another buddy ran into 2 FO...

Re: Medical

I agree with Mr Tusk. You guys are reading into this to much. Just wear jeans and a sweater. The company is not assessing what you wear nor do they care.

Re: Schedules

I would definitely not call the program a joke. I think people who lack the time for their ATPL are very lucky to even have the chance to log "PIC" Time this way. Let's be completely serious your not the one in command but your logging time as if you were. I'd say be thankful it's even offered. Just...

Re: Video Interview

Hey buddy, The video interview is part of the Air Canada Hiring process. Sounds like you have a interview with Jazz. And in that case I believe you only have a in person interview prior to your Sim. Regardless I think you should always dress for the job you want. Full suit is what I would wear to a ...

Re: Video Interview

Hey Matty So the video interview is simple, There is about 20 questions. The first 15 are simple questions like "do you have a ATPL" etc. You have 30 seconds to read the question. Then you have 30 seconds to answer the simple questions. Then there is a couple long answer questions. For example "have...

Re: Jazz Experience

1200 hours I think is a good amount of hours to apply with. From what I've seen in the last 6+ months of hiring lots of people over 40 have been hired. I think if anything the company will look at it like you have good life experiences. The pay is horrible at first but right now upgrades are quick. ...

I know of people who have gotten on with less than 1000. But I've never met someone with that low time getting on. That being said. Tell them to apply anyways. Never know

Re: Hiring Process

I don't think anyone will be able to give you a answer other than the recruitment team at Jazz. But from the sounds of it you've done everything you can and nothing you do now will change their decision. I recommend just relaxing and enjoying your time off because that might change quickly. All the ...

Re: Hiring Process

Anyways assuming your Sim is completed. Jazz only moves onto the reference check if they are serious about applicants. You should be good to go aslong as your references don't have anything bad to say. That being said I know a couple people who got PFO'd after the reference check because they used b...

Re: flight attendant interview

Yes that's a very good sign. It means that as long as they still need people you have a spot as soon as a ground school spot/date becomes available. And I know they need somewhere around 200 FA's by next summer so I think you'll be good to go. Now enjoy the time you have off because once training st...

Re: New CPA and flowthrough to Air Canada?

Future PML is in the works. The company has said that this time Air Canada will souly dictate the terms of that PML. it is said to be released sometime this fall. That was the last statement from the union a week ago. Lots of vacancies in all bases. Sounds like the terms of the PML will be 70 percen...

Re: 2016 Ground Schools

31st October ground school and Nov 14th. I just talked to a friend who works at jazz and they looked over the seniority list for people's hire dates and it shows normally only ever 2 ground schools a month. Still lots of vacancies get your applications in.

Re: AC Jazz interview questions, profile and sim 2011-2015

I know people who heard back the next day. And others that took a month. If you have been waiting more than 2 weeks I suggest just writing an email to your recruiting officer asking how your process is going. I know others who have done that and had gotten a response within 48hours with where there ...
