I had a friend in the same boat as you back in 2001 and he was not successful at Mainline and was quite distraught over the whole thing which is very normal. He managed to find his dream job several months later and is doing just great. Don't give up!

The jobs however are very different with different consequences if they are not done correctly.

There are precious few companies that know how to hang on to pilots.
On the whole AC, WestJet, Transat, Skyservice don't lose that many pilots.
The rest of them must not give a shit.

No FO raise and I think it was 5K for the captain and 10K signing bonus for direct entry Captain.

I believe you had an agreement with AC but you made them PAY for the jumpseat where you did not have to pay to use yours.

I do believe you will see another base at WestJet before to long and Ken has been trying to sell CanJet to WestJet and other companies for a while now. Remember Clive can't just say ok we will by CanJet The shareholders have a say in the matter a rather big say.
