Re: One list

Here’s the thing about that long post above. The company can put RJ’s at Encore tomorrow. It’s entirely their right as stated in our scope clause. It’s also not up to Encore Pilots to “accept” the aircraft. It would simply happen and you would have to fly them. Just that simple so insinuating that ...

Re: Any chance we just lost our AC flow?

Everyone outside Jazz hope so! Doubtful though.
Dumb enough to sign a 17 year deal, should have to endure all 17 years. Sell out future pilots to chase a carrot, would be deserved if that carrot was to get yanked.

This really sucks for the fine folks who went to AT because they had no desire to work at AC. Pay cuts for the people who were in their early years at Transat it looks like.

Re: One list

Sorry Encore, while the rest of the airlines are supporting one another for the progress of the industry, these parasites that call them selves pilots just took the WestJet brand back to the 90s. I came to the picket the WestJet pilots had last spring to give support and think I met just as many en...

Good luck to all who interviewed. Sunwing is truely a gem of Canadian Aviation. With the new type coming on line soon, things are certainly going to get interesting. A gem??? Seriously? Sunwing isn’t very far removed from the days of trying to play the foreign worker system at every corner in order...

JBI i dont know why you waste your time. The no group wont change their mind. Encore stood by and supported mainline guys from the beginning of the Alpa drive. The talk of unity and even talk of barganing as one unit from day one, whatever that means. Encore was a leveraging tool to these jerks and...

Max 16 hr duty day on reserve is an improvement! WTF Compared to whose better reserve rules? Jazz’s where they could call you and give you a combined total of on call and flying of 20 hours. Or our “best” airline spot where their reserve rules are so archaic and slave like it’s not even worth going...

Except for the fact that Calm Air is granting LOA’s to FO’s that need the PIC to go direct entry cpt on the keweetin king airs You’re missing my point. What I stated was they could spend a few years at Keewatin (or any 703/704) aquire the hours and go to a better 705. Instead of going to calm air f...

Why would anyone go work for keweetin as an FO when a 250 hour pilot can work for Calm Air and make 60k as a year 1 FO? (Not defending Keewatin or their subpar pay at all) Perhaps the opportunity for a quick upgrade, in turn the chance to quickly build the ATPL required hours and then in a few shor...

Re: Jazz or Porter (in terms of commuting out of yul) ?

If Jazz is your choice you shouldn’t concern yourself with the commuting policy really. Chances are if you don’t draw YUL off the bat, you’ll be YUL based by the time you finish training. I don’t need to go into the many reasons why every pilot whose not from Quebec/an East coast commuter tries to a...

<Rant on> I refuse to accept the present pay conditions at AC or any company that pegs it's dollar to theirs, which is why I've stuck to my holding pattern where my pay has always continued to increase. I have NEVER taken a paycut for metal. You guys are going to get to 2021, oil will spike, market...

Re: Jazz or Sunwing ?

You're all missing the point: SR pays $8/hr more than the new contract, which means that Jazz had plenty of room to raise wages and still be competitive for AC's flying. So to all the posters above, why didn't Jazz pilots try to negotiate for a pay scale that's the same as SR's ? With the same bene...
