HS748 You were responding quite quickly for a while, I think after all the opinion and defense your were serving up it says a lot not answering the last question Horunner asked. It points right into the heart of the environment there, I could only see 2 reasons; either the ACP is incompetent or som...

No problem.

There are a few guys/gals who have been passed over for upgraded, but all for fair and valid reasons.

Nope, wrong again

And, the ride isn't the issue, anyway, so nice try blaming it on the acp

Re: Calm Air

QUALIFIED = UPGRADE. Simple as that. Don't blame a company or other pilots if you are not qualified. 2 or 3 guys cannot "sink you" at this company. the guy I'm thinking of has flowen the plane for something like 12 years and has been told he will never upgrade. Is there anyone at clam air that fits...

Re: Calm Air

Well, that answers my question, you are bitter that you did not get an upgrade, because you are not/were not qualified/competent?

If you are QUALIFIED and your seniority number comes up, you get an upgrade.

If you are not qualified, of course you are not going to get an upgrade.

Re: Calm Air

I have been at Calm Air for about 10 years now. Great company, great schedule, good pay. Pilot group has a good working relationship with management. Awesome place to work. Schedule will depend on your base and aircraft type. 10 guaranteed days off per month ( usually more days off per month, though...

Ok, thanks for the lesson on dividends.

I DRIP over 10 companies right now, with all of it going straight back into the DRIPS.

For many reasons, WJ will not be on my list! :)

Re: New: dividends and share buyback

HS, every little bit helps. It doesn't impress you but it has impressed the investment community. For me it's somewhere between an extra 800 to a 1000 bucks year over year in my jeans. More than that if I let the stock ride a bit. Every six months I get a nice little raise and every year I work a l...

Hey All I remember doing the NDB 08 in C-GFXM, and the VOR/DME 26 and looking for the Bolingbroke fuselages in the field 4 miles form the airport everytime.....good times... HS 748, I wasn't aware that I didn't make a reasonable compensation. Better to have a pilot in a casual outfit caring about the company, than a pilot dressed up "professionally" (whatever is defined as a professional look....???) not caring about the company. Re: Calm Air

Actually, those numbers are quite a bit off. It shows my hourly rate as $77, but it is actually $88. My minimums for a year work out to be around $85,000. Add in some overtime, and about $7000 in per diems, stock purchase plan = over $100,000 per year. Not bad for flying 2 or 3 days a week, and bein...
