Re: FSI vs CAE

If you have the choice I would always go FSI over CAE. Our aircraft is supported by both. The guys that got inital training at CAE were extremely unimpressed. We had a solid experience at FSI and have had good recurrent experiences since. Heard similar stories on other programs. However there are so...

Re: Electronic Logbook

Have used an excel spreadsheet for the last 4 years since converting from paper. Has worked perfectly for me. Agreed! Although my Garmin Pilot logbook is pretty decent too - but pricey. But Excel is great! Is creating an excel sheet an approved method by TC? And if so, how do you get your entries c...

Re: ATPL Application process tips

Submitted in person to Surrey office August 23rd. Status on TC Website changed to ATPL today (August 30). Waiting to hear regarding pickup of logbook. What? Where can you see what your license is on TC’s website? I’m sure there’s a better way to do it but you can access your account through this. C...

Re: Dedicated or seat swap?

Thought it was a standard for years, but the lines are becoming blurred as newer guys are coming online, so lets see whats out there in todays world. For op’s with both seat qualified individuals, do you…. 1: Stay in the seat you are assigned for the the trip (rotating pic for trips so everyone get...

Re: Canada Jetlines

"We will be back into Calgary probably in the spring or fall of 2023," said Bureau, though he says that depends on the airline's ability to add new aircraft to its fleet. I think return spring 2023 will pass, maybe he meant 2024? Canada Jetlines currently has two Airbus A320s — an all-economy jet w...

Anyone know anything about this? Flight school, air taxi, and 2 777s going to the Middle East. Seems rather ambitious.

Well, I spoke too soon… I suspect this will become even more problematic from the 28th of Feb forward…. TPC We had the same thing last night. When we finally go a hold of someone he said that their computer system had crashed so they couldn’t even see our flight details. No idea how he managed to g...

Re: IATA Warning for Canadian Aviation Sector

While I understand that the US is one our biggest trading partners, and lots of people go their to vacation, the US shouldn't be the sole deciding factor with regards to keeping borders closed and having a mandatory 14 day isolation period. Yea, I agree that keeping the US border closed isn't a bad...

Re: FlightExec Falcon 900EX FO Ad

Wondering if anyone has info on the schedule/pay at FlightExec specifically for the Falcon 900EX FO. Can’t find a ton of info on the company and was curious. You dress like Hitman, 3 year bond IIRC, pay is industry standard and I think it's 2 crew, so on call. Hopefully this spot is for a 3rd crew ...

From @TomPodolec .@WestJet's 1,380 pilots vote in favour of long-haul, wide-body, expansion plans. Will look for additional wide-body aircraft/new routes
