looks like they have... they jacked up the min times for navajo F/O to 300 hours. that puts a whole lot of rampies starting their first winter, or putting up with a second in a bad place. word on the street is it's cameco's minimums. makes you think twice about putting up with their shit don't it? n...

from what i hear, from a pretty big dog there...

good maintenance, entry-level guys usually get thrown on to instructing. pretty good standards as far as SOPs go, good people flying and otherwise... pay leaves something to be desired, decent sized company and growing.

Transwest won't be hiring again until spring, they've got all the rampies that they are willing to pay - not enough of them if you were to ask them -and they treat them like crap at that!

If you go to work the ramp, work up north La Ronge or farther. Anything south of La Ronge will make you sad.

Towing For Air Cadets?

Is spending a summer towing gliders for the air cadets worth it? It's tough to get into unless you're properly connected. Decent pay, Free room and board all summer and as many tail dragger hours as you can fly... But, is it worth putting off working the ramp and possibly advancing the career. I gue...

holy, i didnt expect the anger towards free flying. go to your gliding zone, chances are they'll throw you on the roster ASAP. from what ive seen, gliding zones are hurting all over everywhere, the interest is down and they are loosing guy to put in the airplanes. so instead of getting all pissed of...
