Re: DOH merge.

It’s getting nasty already lol. I called it.

My guess, it the TS guys will be limited to rouge. AC pilots will be able to do mainline or rouge on a LOA.

Re: AC offer AT $13 per share

Transat has been hiring 1000hr instructors, congratulations on winning the lotto Really ? Sounds like the person living in Northern Quebec telling me that the Montreal neighbourhood where I live is full of burka clad women.... I have yet to see one.... Maybe a little far fetched, but 1 500 TT with ...

Re: Transat AT Inc Announces Preliminary Discussions Concerning a Potential Sale of the Corporation

I don't wish the Transat pilots AC as a customer..... History has shown, doh will not even be on the table. I believe this would be devastating for the pilot group.

I hope a party outside of aviation buys Transat and business as usual for the crewmembers

Re: Beginning of Transat wave?

History has shown us that there is no way in hell the lists would be merged. That is why it's called ACPA and not ALPA....

It would continue to run as a seperate company IMHO

Re: What's the oldest age one should consider AC

50!???!!? Damn man. I am just under thirty and thinking of not going, not for my age but for the seniority I will have. AC has hired massive amounts in the last three years, times are good, real good. Bad times follow good times. Everyone seems to forget this is a cyclical industry. I dont know mayb...

Any info on Sky regional hiring? It would be preferable since they operate the E jet. It’s a good little jet.
Why go to sky now? Sky is next on the chopping block, same as georgian. Plus short term, they have zero flow. AC will have to hire a very large majority of the express pilots from Jazz

Sorry but you don't learn at a 705 operator. I hate it when fo's tell me, I am here to learn, but how will I learn etc...
705 is about operating safely and then yeah, the more time you spend doing something the more experience you get and won't repeat mistakes!

Re: Chorus/Ggn/Sky merge

What flights have 50 or less pax? I don't think I've seen a load on any of my planes lower than 60 in a looong time and typically they hover around the 70 mark. Ok. Let’s make it a pax load of 60-70 on a 110-145 seat aircraft. Does that make money? Or how about going from twice daily 76 seat jet se...

Re: Chorus/Ggn/Sky merge

BBD Q400 line sold. BBD CRJ900/1000 line (unofficially) for sale. This creates uncertainty and scares customers away. Principal competitor for CRJ900/1000 is the E175 (3rd generation). EMB is effectively backstopped by Brazilian government. Little or no risk to manufacturer viability or long term p...

Time to put an end to this failed strategic initiative. AC entered in to expanded commercial agreements with companies such as GG...

Re: Sim Eval 2018

I have flown both types of aircraft at Jazz. Both the Crj and Classic. The dash is a much better aircraft for a 250 hour wonder. The crj is too much aircraft, flown in high density airspace and would limits the stick and rudder time compared to the classic. Do yourself a favor and bid for classic or...
