Re: Laser Eye Surgery
The Canadian Forces now allow pilots to have certain types of laser-eye surgery, as long as the correction brings them up to an acceptable standard. The CF will not cover the cost (yet) but there is no restriction on types flown (ie, you can still fly fighters with zapped eyes) which would lead me t...

Have you all forgotten the classic, CID vs. EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!
Those were the days...
I remember them well, the industry was in the begining of a climb from dispair, TC hadn't yet started sending pilots to collection, I was really into nostalgia... ah, memories...

Supposedly chaste man talks about sex... Yeah, there we go again. Kinda like the pope talking about truth, or justice, or propriety, or not covering up the rape of children... all things he seemingly knows dick all about... Still, he's the only one with the 'right' info. No freaking different than a...

Re: Search planes to be replaced in 2014
I was under the impression that the replacement for the Twin Otters and Buffalos was gonna be a single air frame hence the 15 aircraft order and the fight between the C-27 and the C222. I've always wondered about using 415s however with no ramp to load pallets how useful in other roles would it be?...

Re: Do you think Canada should boycott the Olympics?
Why is everyone so conserned about the athletes? They get tax money to do what? PLAY A SPORT? Run, jump, throw? Are you kidding me? I say cut all funding to amature athletes. You want to compete? Get a sponsor. The olympics are a joke, a shadow of thier former self, and do not represent the values t...

Re: FFDO Accidental Discharge...Major OOPS!
There's no excuse for a negligent discharge. I wonder what/how he was carrying? I would bet on a chambered, cocked 1911! There's a reason why they invented DA/SA and decockers. That`s like saying that theres no excuse for a gear-up landing. There is a reason these things are called accidents. The o...

There was a long read the story and answer questions about it section and the story was abotu "right whales". Most painstaking read ever. Right now I am looking at going to Seneca for the fall. Painful read. Painstaking means something else entirely. Sorry, I'm bored and improper use of terms is a ...

Re: Sched run, Calgary to Cold Lake
Easy there quick-shot. How do you think the 'markey' economy finds out about opportunity? People talk to people. I don't work for the city, I'm just doing what someone asked me to do. If there really is no market, then the service won't even start. As it is, the Oil companies have shown some interes...

Yeah, I'm not sure if the plan is to fly to the regional, or if there is an eventual intention to build a terminal on the base.
Are there any small airlines out of Calgary?

Sched run, Calgary to Cold Lake
Hey folks,
The City of Cold Lake (with pressure and backing from Imperial Oil) is looking for an airline to start a sched run to Calgary.
If anyone is interested, or knows someone who is, PM me.
