Re: YYC Crashpad

I'll save PM'ing all of you. I heard last week when I was in YYC that most crash pads have a waiting list. At least the ones I recommended to the thread author. Your best bet is to post an ad in the ALPA forum for immediate vacancy. Or keep an eye out on here. I heard someone is starting up a new cr...

Re: Pilot locked himself out of the cockpit during flight

"the crew's decision to remove the door had been in line with company policy." They have a policy for what to do if you lock yourself out of the cockpit? Impressive. :goodman: They do actually. But it can only be removed from inside The cockpit. Would be pretty stupid if they made removing the door...

Heard a couple of them went to Sunwing. Heard Westjet snagged some also, but not sure of how many or if it was for Encore.

Re: WJ Application Question

So I just checked my application again and noticed that it still says "thank you for your application" under the next step. Hasn't switched to "in Progress" at all. Kinda wondering if that's it, not qualified or not interested on westjets part? Maybe I'm just overly concerned about it. Either way wo...

Re: WJ Application Question

So I applied a few days ago. It said "Processing" after I submitted it. Just checked it now and it just says "Thank you for your application". Is that mean a mild PFO, never got an email nor does it say unsuccessful.

In Scandanavia Canada is spelt with a "K". Its his language and it's still pronounced the same way. Don't be offended!

Here we go again. Gotta love Joe pulling out the Fags when pilots piss him off!!! Is it me or is Buffalo full of aviation misfits?

Re: Ice Pilots of NWT Series on History Channel this Fall!

I presume the gear up is a result if a mechanical problem and not pilot error, hence the greaser on the belly. Great show. Thought process: Give the Buffalo instructor the benefit of the doubt and presume it was mechanical, not error. I'm no 215 expert, but I'd imagine it has gear up warnings and t...

Ice Pilots of NWT Series on History Channel this Fall!

Ice Pilots NWT Wednesdays at 10 pm ET/PT beginning November 2009 If no one else will do it, the Ice Pilots of Canada’s Northwest Territories will. Renegade Arctic airline Buffalo Airways defies the cold and the competition by flying propeller planes from the Second World War on missions all over the...

Hey, just out of curiosity is anyone still getting phone calls for interviews at Westjet? Or have they ceased for now? Sure, I trained there and worked there for 3 years. Great School, excellent program! One of a kind, follows canadian air force training regime, less the weapons training, formation flying and stuff. They'll get you done in pretty short order of time, just keep at it! Excellent aircraft, really good ...

B727 Fuel Dump over YYZ 16 Sept

At about 4am London FIC is broadcasting that a Boeing 727 is dumping fuel 20DME on the 090 degree radial off the YYZ VOR at 7000ft. Anyone know whom? What the emergency/urgent situation was?
