Re: Don't be a scab
Most airlines, (mine included), place strict guidelines on what you can do when wearing your uniform. Marching in a picket line, even for one lap, however well intended would definitely be forbidden. I'm happy to say that Morningstar has allowed its pilots to attend the picket lines in uniform. Tha...

Re: Upcoming Air Canada vote ..
I’m talking about fixing the whole AC/Jazz whipsaw mess now before this ridiculous LOA thing starts So how does that play out for those who just want to remain at Jazz, earn a reasonable income and not chase the "big iron" ? Lol, "reasonable income" at jazz. There is nothing reasonable about it.

Re: ACPA LOA?
The common sentiment in this thread is trying to get USA type gains up here in Canada. Guess what? That started as the US pulled out of Covid and the CPA carriers joined forces with their mainline carriers and refused to budge on concessions or marginal gains. For once in Canada if we all could jus...

If you want to go to air Canada fast, go to encore or porter. That's the simple answer. If you hate money and love 703-style operators, go to jazz.

Re: P4C members terminated
Of interest there was another termination hearing, outside of these 3, held earlier this summer. Another entitled little pr@ck whose scrawny @ss was saved by the VR LEC Chair you love to slam. Hopefully 20 years down the road, when he grows up and is a Widebody Captain, he stops by the nursing home...

Re: AC Pay/Progress
Hi... I am just looking at getting into aviation but my dad is a big union guy for the trades Is it normal for pilots to be in love with management when the pay is so low? Why are pilots so interested in making their own work more? I showed my dad this and he puked in his mouth. Do you air canada p...

Re: US Airlines Hiring Canadians
I’m not defending low pay in any way. I’m embarrassed by the starting pay where I fly. Having said that, everyone knows the starting pay before they accept a job. If it’s not enough to survive on without doing OT then don’t take the job. Shortage of pilots willing to work for crap wages combined wi...

Atlas air is actively recruiting Canadians under the EB-2 visa but I believe you need to have your FAA ATP done before they'll sponsor you. It's not difficult, just a bit expensive. Re: Delays and daily operational failures
Message from the CEO today appears to deny any responsibility for the operational failures we experience now on a daily basis. All of us out on the line know lack of support crews not limited to tow crews, groomers, gate agents, ground crews etc. is the real problem. I wonder if our A scale MEC cha...

Re: United, again.
It's a basic requirement that every passenger - every single one - obeys lawful instructions from the crew. So if one passenger isn't compliant, you ask everyone else to get off. If anyone else demurs, the flight is cancelled, there and then. Passengers who comply and deplane on request get re-book...

If I was a passenger on this flight I would hope I could back the passengers begin removed. Remove him and remove us all because this plane is not leaving if you remove anyone. And then maybe they would up the ante and take the lowest bidder on compensation for being bumped. I'm sure someone would ...

Chicago officer involved was placed on administrative leave. Still nothing from United. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2017/04/10/chicago-aviation-officer-placed-on-leave-after-dragging-man-off-plane/ I'm sure its still this violent, threatening 69 year old Pax's fault. Navajo operators upgrading people into the left seat with 6-7 hundred hours. People feeling hard done by that they need to have 1000-1500hrs to operate a king air.. Jazz hiring from the 1500hr mark. Encore hiring the same with their 'flightpath' program.. Not even five years ago, those king air job...

They didn't land wide, short, long, or hard. They landed, and then were not able to stay on the runway. Why? Don't know yet. But given the apparently minimal damage and total lack of injuries and fatalities, yeah I'd say it's pretty benign as incidents go . Don't cherry-pick my words, please. I'd l...

Hmm, sounds suspiciously familiar. As far as I know, no changes were put into effect after the "Hard landing" at YHZ.
