Re: Runaway Trim
What ever happened to the big red button on the steering wheel that is there to shut off power to both the electric trim and the autopilot. Every airplane I have ever flown with electric trim or an autopilot with attitude control has one. Even the little Seminole should have an emergency checklist ...

Re: Inrat tutor
My vote goes for the Dauntless App. I spent weeks on Pilottraining and other resources.... but a week with the dauntless app got me ready for the test. Learning Real world IFR - well thats another step I bought the Dauntless app on my phone, and whenever I had a few minutes I'd be on it going throu...

Where did you do your sim?[/quote]Flyguy13 wrote:Did my sim eval a couple weeks ago. I had nothing to do with an NDB on mine. Held at a VOR and did a LOC and ILS approach.
Seneca College (Newnham campus I think?). Was on a fixed base King Air 200 sim.

Re: Entire application process timeline?
Also, based on a few friends who were hired in the last month.. they are not nessicarly doing everything in the same order they used to. In the past it was 1)interview 2)SIM 3)medical 4)reference checks/crim check 5)job offer. Now I've heard of them doing reference and criminal record checks (even ...

Re: Summit Air Ramp Wait
Yeah, I would have considered it if it was a month or two, but there's not a chance I'm going to go there if I'm going to be waiting 2 years.

IATRA Validity
So I have my IATRA exam written and passed already, however, I currently have less than 250 hours. When I reach my 250 hours (hopefully by the end of the month), will my IATRA become valid automatically, or is there something I have to send to Transport Canada to let them know that it has become val...

Re: Jazz Pilot Pathway Program from College
So Sault College I know has it, actually just a few more schools were added to the list! To be considered for this, you need to get a 4.0 GPA your entire school career at either university or college you end up at, which is very difficult I've been told. Only a select few are chosen every year, Im ...

Wondering if anyone would be willing to critique my resume/cover letter
If anyone involved in the hiring process has a few minutes available to take a look at a resume/cover letter and critique it for me it would be greatly appreciated. I'm currently trying to find my first job and would like to know if there's anything I could change on either my resume or cover letter...

Jobs between 200 and 250 hours
Going to be finishing up flight school in the next month and a bit with around 200 hours and am starting to apply to jobs in the next week or so. What kind of jobs can you get with 200 besides dropping skydivers and surveying (not that I have a problem with those)? Also wondering if you need the 250...
