Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

@ HiFlyChick Thank you. I can definitely see your perspective on this. @ C.W.E. I get what you are saying liability is a big issue. @ Everyone else, I guess attacks like this are the status quo in the aerospace industry and public message boards. Things like this make me loose my faith in humanity a...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

I’m starting to thing this whole thing isn’t real and everyone in here is just getting trolled right now. That is quite possible. Look at the other posts by kfarr87, whose name is "Keith" in another thread. I have fond memories of another avcanada user with the same name. I actually am not i...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

I once needed a "lift" to Halifax to pickup a car....I posted an ad on Kijiji offering vehicle transportation for the cost of fuel from Toronto area. Within 2 days I had the keys of a minivan in my hand that belonged to a doctor that took a job out there. He packed all his belongings into the van a...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

A hitch hiking experience could be quite an interesting story for the rest of your life. I wonder if any car rental locations have had a car dropped off that needs to be returned. A backpack with camping gear will make the overnight free. The GF will be impressed at what you were willing to do to s...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

It's not self pity attitude, well not exactly. I guess it couldn't hurt to tell you a little bit more. I had a job I hated that provided just enough to live on but not enough to ever really get anywhere. I budgeted well enough to live comfortably in that situation. I wanted more from life, the possi...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

It’s very nice of your GF to offer you an invitation and nothing else to go see her. Get a job. Lower your costs and create a budget. All your reasons are excuses. Life’s hard, we all do it. You did not understand my original message well. I have a job, I work full time. I do have a budget, my cost...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

Wow, this is quickly devolving into trash talk and crude statements. I never once claimed to be lazy or unable to work. My ability to help others in any large scale way is minimal due largely to my own particular situation. I do however try to help others when I can. Without drawing this conversatio...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

Hi, I could really use some help / advice. My GF is out in NL for work 9 week contract. I miss her and she extended an open invitation to visit her. The issue is I am broke as heck. (feast or famine industry) I live in Southern Ontario near YYZ. I was hoping you could provide me with some ideas / a...

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

Gofund me applies to everything now. Used to be for individuals or families with traumatic life or medical events. Begging is fashionable. I feel like that would take away from people in more dire situations. I'm not too proud to beg. I though maybe there was a way that someone would know about.

Re: Need a little help getting a "lift"

You mean that you cannot scrounge together $600 for a commercial flight? What ever happened to "saving for a rainy day"? Why does your GF not pay for you to see her, or come back for a weekend and see you? If you cannot live apart, and you have not the means to be together, and she is not going to ...

That's a sweet story, I don't think I have the social skills to do anything like that.

Looking for a Flight from YYZ or YKF to YJT in July

Hello, I need to get to YJT Stephenville NL or Airport near there. Preferably in July. Is there anyone already flying there? Private run? Fairy flight? Empty Leg? Maintenance run? Cargo haul? I'd be willing to ride anything to get there. Any C130s relocating? Deadhead? Anyone go there for fun or any...

Re: Looking for Help and work.

I do not have "time and flight hours" as I am not a pilot. I tried to list my years of experiance = 10 And talk about my many useful skills. Which really is rather long no matter how I post it. As for how pilots post the bodys they have flight hours on. I can post the airframe types I have done work...

Looking for Help and work.

Hello, I am looking for work and could really use some help / direction in finding it. About me: I am Canadian born and raised. I speak English. I have a degree in aviation maintenance avionics from Centennial College. I have my radio operators license. I have held certification in Artex ELT. I have...
