Re: When Will ALPA Accept a Deal?
Let's reset everyone's expectations. This new contract will be better than the previous one, but it will not be ground breaking for Canada. You're going to get a contract that you can read and understand without the help of a lawyer. Your starting rates are going to be flat rate and starting salary...

Lol right...that's why they've had to cancel half the PIT classes they had planned since April. What's your agenda here? If you want to lick boots there's better places to do that. Licking boots? Does it sound like I am trying to impress someone? I'm giving this forum the benefit of my recent exper...

Re: Is WestJet an essential service, where the government can mandate striking pilots back to work?
What happened today? Sucks you who trusted the Liberals to protect you. There's a provision that can be used to force the first CBA into arbitration. Are you suggesting that PP or some other con would be any better ? Also what's todays case have to do with replacement workers? 20 bucks says they wi...

Re: Reasons to come to Air Canada (… or not)
This is correct. Look at the amount of people that were willing to come to AC on flat pay, imagine the numbers if we get a decent contract. The issue right now is the list of qualified people willing to take a 100-150% pay cut has mostly dried up. With the contract just around the corner most are w...

Porter $25,000 Sign On Bonus being offered for current Dash 8-Q400 Type Rated Captains - until January 31st, 2024. The offer has been extended until May 31. Out of pure curiosity, what is keeping yourself and other YYZ skippers at Encore with the base closing and 0% chance of flow before that? WJ h...

Re: Should I go to Jazz?
I’m sorry, but not really, show us how you are currently paid better than AC pilots for the first 5 years. Usually when I make a claim, which I’ve seen you make a couple times, I back it up with actual facts, not hearsay! Turns out that I was close, but wrong. Encore pilots are paid more until year...

Recent ex 330 RP. I loved it. Crews were great, layovers are all great. Just try and avoid the Bogota for the lousy credit.

Wild guess, but sounds pretty similar to an operation out of The Pas that goes by MA?piperdriver wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:07 pm You didn’t sign the contract so you are not legally bond by the conditions of said contract. Tell them to pound sand. Also who is the operator??

Re: Negotiations
If the new F/O wages at Westjet are even close to true, I suspect our YYC base will be left in shambles. Might even see some leave AC. Again, of true, it destorys ACs 4 year flat pay concept. People will still be filling AC classes, I don't expect flat pay to change much while that's still happenin...

Re: Zone 5 for boarding on POS DH
Yes absolutly this is an issue and it should, and I hear it is, on the table if bargaining ever starts again. The issue is not just low zone number. But we should really get business class travel for deadheads. In addition our standby seniority will hopefully improve. Business standby passes would ...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread
If one got a call offering a GS spot what would the reaction be if the applicant asked to postpone the offer and ask to sit in one a few classes/couple months later? I assume they would say ok but would they really just bypass you indefinitely or permanently? Recently heard you can defer up to a ye...

Re: How long until you hear back from AC?
If you’re not bearing back after 3 weeks from the interview date, just know that they have placed you in a pool of low hours or low competitiveness. They’re getting back to people with lots of hours, command, teaching, degree…etc way faster than those who are at or slightly above the minimum requir...
