Re: Rental Cars
Try priceline and put in a bid. I have found rentals for 9 to 13 bucks a day!

Re: Life with Jazz
I can't see the Ishihara plates to save my life! I get through the first couple - the easiest ones and then none after that. However, I got perfect scores on the lanterns test as well as the farnsworth. Not to many places administer the lanterns test but the farnsworth is common. Just go to your opt...

yycflyguy, You are correct, Canadians can buy property in the U.S however, if a snowbird wishes to remain in the U.S longer than 6 months to enjoy their property they must have their stay extended through a local state department or CBP/immigration office. Also, snowbirds might be subject to filing ...

If you intend to live in the U.S and work in Canada, this is fine but you must be a legal Permanent Resident of the U.S (green card holder) to do this. There is no way around it, I have been through the immigration process, and that is the requirement. Don't confuse the "snowbird" living in the U.S ...

Thanks I will check it out, I have been running the free edition of AVG and it seems pretty good, just seeing what else is out there. Depending on the price I may even buy the "pay" version. As for the original topic of this thread: I have a Dell Inspiron 5100, that I customized when I purchased it,...

Then there are those of us that have completed the interview and all of the testing and have received the phone call and have been offered the job and hired but are waiting for a "virtual" course date. Just trying to figure out where we would fit into the whole senario if this merger were to happen.

Again, what about the question regarding the Jazz pilots who have been offered a job with Air Canada and have been told to anticipate a virtual course date sometime in the spring? Martin, from the jazz pilots who have been hired by AC since the Jazz August 2005 groundschool I think very few of them ...

The test with the coloured pucks is called the Farnsworth D15 or D14 (15 pucks), The light test is the lantern test. I always have trouble with the Ishihara plates (coloured plates) on my regular yearly medicals. When I did my AC medical last October I for what ever reason passed the plate test but ...

Hey CPL, Good for you, I'm glad you feel important as PIC, now......go F*&k your hat. The guy is happy he got the call from JAZZ and so was I when I received my phone call. Its a great company to work for and you don't need to hijack his thread with your condescending sentiments. Just had to get tha...

Neophyte, Yes I agree with Gel - the governement plays by their own rules and sometimes they can be the smartest crooks out there. They will do everything in their power to find a way to nail you. Its a tough call to make in terms of severing your residential ties to Canada such as losing your OHIP ...
