Yes, most have, a few in institutions are slower than others. Pay day is the 15th, oh look it's still the 15th. Not ideal optics, but still going to work tomorrow.

Re: BAe 146 Runway Overrun
Wow, I'm surprised they didn't think reverse thrust was a good idea for these machines. Reverse thrust on a modern jet doesn't slow you down as much as you'd think. It might mean 200' shorter landing roll in a jet that size, the Avro relies on huge brakes and cooling fans to cool the brakes for a q...

I haven't been able to view a single page in almost a week, this is the first time. Firefox will sometimes open the Index, but always crashes if I click on any sub forums, but Chrome won't open it at all.

Re: Air Canada now in the bus business
Better get those new routes covered by tight scope language. If not, you’ll see the Bus drivers driving for YOS on the AirBus. definitely time to be looking for a scope clause in that contract. Air Canada bus passengers shall be bussed by Air Canada bus drivers, or Rouge Bus is just around th...

Re: New Pay Increase for DH4 Captains
I got a bold 1$ per hour raise. I hoping this attracts more pilots here so i dont have to work as hard. Better than nothing. No one asked for a raise. The Q rates are already industry leading for the same type. Take your extra dollar and give it to Trudeau. And Trudeau wants his money on time, or h...

Re: MMG or Higher per hour pay?
Of course the answer is that it depends. If you fly all min credit days, or less than mmg, then 85 is better. If you fly a lot and hit mmg and OT is happening, then a lower mmg would be better. Last year I flew 800 hours, but got paid for 1020, plus I did another 20 k in double time GDOs. For me, I ...

Re: High time returning to aviation
Get recent, if you aren't already it's a PITA. Then get current, just jump in a red bird and do an IPC. Once you're there it likely depends what you did before leaving, and why you left (ie took time off to raise a family vs went to prison for a violent crime...very different reception witth HR ;)) ...

I love how any other company gets named but when it's Westjet, Pelmet just adds an ambiguous title.

It's ok though because they made it back on to the runway (after crossing a taxiway) and then just taxi'd to the gate.

Re: Flair in hot water with the CRA
Yikes, my significant other has tickets booked on Flair for April! Don't worry, the CRA won't be repossessing anything or they wouldn't see a dime of that money. Besides I'm not sure the staplers and Ipads the company owns would cover much. You're partner's tickets are going to be just fine...

The company name will be "Flinx" and the call sign will be "Flauntless". Rick Flair will be the mascott and every transmission will include a WOOOOOOO! Then once AC buys the whole shooting match, the new call sign with be "Flair Canada" and the US spin off will be "Flair America"!

We all get rusty when we get a stretch of days off. I've had 3 weeks off at a time, several times in the past few years, and I always feel a little behind when I come back. Just sitting down for a couple hours the day before and making sure you're up to date on all your memos, COM amendments, Jepp u...

It would have feathered itself as soon as he shut it down with condition. Whether you’d want to try and feather at full power, I’m not sure… but it would do it Not necessarily, if the prop stays in fine pitch, the wind milling of it would produce enough oil pressure to counteract the spring and cou...
