Re: Snowbird crash in CYKA

So is it just not feasible to put a modern gimballed ejection seat into the Tutor? You would think with the single engine threat and the low altitude flying the Snowbirds do it would be a priority to protect the crews. There was at least at least some interest in replacing the ejection seats, thoug...

Thanks everyone for the replies. Sounds like Sifton is a good place to check out. Looking at their website, the longer tours look amazing!

Kluane Air Tours

Looking to do an air tour over Kluane at the end of the month. Any tips on which tours are worth taking? Or who to fly with? The fiancée and I will be in Haines Junction around the middle of next week. Is there a better time of day to do a flight?

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!

Re: Ipod Touch and Consumer Reports

I for one poo poo the iPod because of the pain in the ass iTunes and DRM associated with it. Crash your computer? Too bad loose all your songs? Forget to "remove the license" before restoring windows? So sad loose all your songs. Want to listen to your music on more than 2 computers? Too bad can't ...

Re: Video card

What are the rest of your system specs? It doesn't sound like it is a very recent system and you may not get very good performance from FSX. FS9 may be a better choice. Sites like FlightSim.com and AvSim have plenty of good info in their forums.

Re: CIAS AirShow

It was certainly a little disappointing and I don't think I'll be back to see it again. At least not any time soon. Of course it didn't help that the last airshow before this one I attended was at Nellis AFB last year. Plenty of aircraft from WW1 through to the F-22, a CF-18 and a couple great civil...

Re: More fireworks in the gulf?

The US has had 4 carriers in the Middle East many times. It happens quite often when they relieve the carrier groups that are due to return to port. And the carrier groups heading out to the region will often participate in war games and training to get the crews back up to speed.

I dont think anyone here is defending Li, sounds like you missed the point entirely. Were you replying to my post? I was just trying to suggest that instead of subjecting some poor bear to this lady's presence, she could be locked up with the person who apparently delivered God's wrath. Maybe he'll...

Re: 9/11 conspiracy or not?

There have been many engineers suggest that a) the fire wasn't hot enough b) the towers were very unlikely to go straight down and c) no tower did it before. The math is similiar to the results of the exit polls being so far off in the last election, 1 okay, 2 -millions to one, 6 or 7 -billions to ...

Re: 9/11 conspiracy or not?

Can anyone give an example of a skyscraper that collapsed (due to fire) before or since 911. Here we have three in one day and they all go straight down (as opposed to tipping over). It's not the netnuts, it's the math that bothers me. This is where the phrase "There's a first time for everything" ...

Re: Urgent - sign on-line cell phone price reduction petitions!

GSM coverage in Canada sucks, the CDMA network is far superior here. I'm on Telus' CDMA network and have unlimited data, Canadian long distance, text and voice to ten numbers, free evenings starting @ 1700 - 0700, free weekends, and 450 daytime minutes all for about $100 a month. Checking the Ameri...

Here's a list of Ubisoft's games and some more info about the stupid decisions they have made.

While still not perfect, Valve's Steam and Stardock's Impulse are much better ways to buy games.
