Re: DOH merge.

My prediction is they are merged at a 2for1 or 3for1 year ratio. So that 6 year 330 captain at AT will be slotted in at 3 years AC seniority. Then they will run a massive bid and you can bid on anything you can hold. Many more 330 positions so lots of AC guys will be able to go wide body. Most TS gu...

Re: DOH merge.

AT is not being conquered. AC wants to purchase it so their competitors do not. If Onex or TUI or some Chinese company buys it, that's bad for AC and therefore, bad for the pilot group. Long term, AC taking over AT is better for the entire AC community than if a competitor were to take it over. Exa...

Re: WestJet to be sold in friendly deal to Onex Corp. for $5 billion

Air Canada will not be sitting on its hands. WestJet has more than its work cut out for itself if it wants to secure anywhere near a 10B market cap. That market share has to come from somewhere, and AC won't be giving up any willingly. Don't ever underestimate CR....he's a shark, and likely smarter...

Re: Profit Sharing this April ?

Why would it be based on a percentage of your salary? Did they lower paid pilot make the company less profit? If anything they made them more by costing them less. 50% is by seniority, 50% split evenly, The senior pilots are also upset there are more pilots on property they have to share it with :r...

So AC is planning to lower their hiring/interview standards to allow specifically allow more JAZZ pilots to pass? First I hear of this.

They put the Georgian ad as a picture on the site instead of a normal ad. If you use Adblock click on the adblock button top of browser and then block element and then select the ad. You wont see it again. So annoying.

Re: Gregg Saretsky is the modern Frank Lorenzo

I believe at AT you start at year 2 cap pay if you have been FO for more than 3 years. So TS would make more year 1 Cap no? Since there are no DEC.

Thank you RRJetPilot,

What is the upgrade policy and time frame in YYZ?

Thanks,
Adam
Upgrade when your number comes up 3-4 years at the moment. YUL takes a lot longer.

Re: Hiring?

Sweet. Can anybody (preferably, first hand from active pilots) help fill me in about life at AirTransat? 1. How many hours is their salary based on? 2. What does the typical schedule look like? (How long are their pairings / days off) 3. If I were awarded a Toronto position, how difficult would it ...

100% it will. Will be interesting to see where they get the pilots from. Because for sure the wages will not be mainline wages. I would bet my left nut on that. Also on the pink ties etc.

Re: WJ Pilots seek ALPA unionization vote

Less than 24% of the eligible 529 members of the YYZ LEC bothered to vote for their Captain and FO representative, and I understand YYC had a similar amount of engagement. It was these same LEC reps from the three bases who then "chose" the MEC positions. I'm curious as to the apathy. Is it buyer's...

I had to sign up just for this. This is great news for ALL pilots of Canada. Together we are stronger. Corporate greed can stay in finance. Pilots will not be pawns between companies anymore. Companies can succeed without using us as bargaining chips. I'm interested in how WJ will spin this one. Pro...
