Re: Service Suspension Notice

Lol who in their right mind would invest in aviation after this pandemic and the way the government completely destroyed the sector.
Warren Buffet was right a year ago. You will actually have fewer competitors and higher prices. Enjoy!

Re: Air Canada Hires Influencers Promoting Travel Amid Non-Essential travel Ban

https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quotidien/201224/dq201224b-eng.htm I like data and facts. Based on the two charts from statistics Canada I can see the pandemic and excess deaths ended in June. But interestingly enough we do still have a portion of the population with excess death, Males 0-44 y...

Funny there has been no documented or evidence of transmission on board aircraft. Another meme for the lowest common denominator of society. Post it on the CBC comments, they eat that shit up.

I take it you are not a pilot? Or at least not a commercial pilot? I hope you are being genuine with your question and not trying to be a smart ass. Because If you are being genuine I will answer it for you. The same. Packs are on before and after engine start and work with the APU running. Engines ...

Re: Air Canada Second Trip to C.C.A.A.?

How many more rounds of funding are needed to keep the ship afloat? AC stock is going back to low teens at best. At what point does a Private Equity Firm cut its losses keeping the ship afloat? Westjet will be replaced with Swoop and you will be hating on AC even more when your pay is less than a C...

Can someone send me the SOP's for the 777? I would like to start studying early. Send me a pm and I will give you my e-mail. A pdf file would be nice.   Transat has what 100 active pilots? If you are one of the 100 I'd send you some study material. If you are one of t...

Re: Cargo TA

AC renegotiated the purchase at $5/share, with a requirement any competing offer must be above $6. At the moment the stock is sitting at $5.94. The market almost 100% believes AC will not purchase TS and that another buyer (or government) will step in. So right now the purchase does not even look li...

Isn't Brooks a WestJet Koolaid Lackie? Just looking for any straw he can find...some bitter jaded folks on AvCanada. A cesspool? Yes he is. A few years ago he was on here telling us how WJ would eat AC lunch. EtcEtcEtc. SAD. But in reality he is probably now at Encore or Swoop just trying to stay p...

You must have been raised with first world problems for you not to see the long term prospects of this. Pros: 1. This will take off. Will bring back guys off the street faster. Look at how easy cargojet snapped up our guys for their operation. 2. They're not gonna reconfigure the 787/330/777 for ca...

10% less pay without burning a course right seems fair. ......if it's a 10% paycut for a different lifestyle, then sign me up. Last call for boarding on the gravy 🚆... I dont agree. This is temporary. Maybe 2-3 years but temporary. If anything employees of organizations will request/ask/demand business or premium economy travel for social distancing or health reasons. There will also in my opinion be pent up demand for travel.

So I ask. How stupid or incompetent are these people running the provinces? They are upset a private company is reducing services in which they themselves have cut off the demand.

I think the biggest fish is Warren Buffet. Who Im sure you read sold all his airline holdings recently and said it was one of his biggest mistakes to invest in aviation. I think ONEX is smart enough to cut its losses. It has in the past.

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share

Well I HIGHLY doubt ONEX would be looking to touch anything airline related with a 100 foot pole. The made a huge mistake with the WJ purchase and will not make a bigger mistake again. I think ONEX and the board are looking deeply on how to unload WJ with losing the least amount of money. After this...

Exactly. The second someone states "The autopilot does everything," I know this person is completely uneducated, oblivious, has mental retardation (not funny), or is just plain ignorant. No point even acknowledging someone of that mental capacity.
