Re: Chorus to be sold ?

AC says the offer didnt come from them. I guess you can put away the balloons.

Its probably a PE firm. Could get pretty bleak.

Re: COVID MOA 2

Do Jazz pilots really think they'd get anything other than BOTL? Jazz is a feeder for AC and always has been. An arbitrator will see that, pilots leave Jazz to go to AC. Has anyone ever in the history of aviation left AC for Jazz?... It's a regional carrier that doesn't even own their flying. Jazz ...

Air.Field wrote: Fri Oct 23, 2020 3:16 pm if the above is true regarding acquisition, can't help but think ACPA stoked the fire on that one.

500 million dollar decisions are not made because ACPA filed a grievance that they will either lose or more likely settle for a sack of magic beans.

Re: Air Canada is in bad shape

For those who are unfamiliar Jetz aircraft are A319's configured for charters (the Canadian NHL teams and Blue Jays). Obviously they aren't being flown right now and this is an interesting, and fairly low risk test. The loads are going to be light regardless, why not maximize yield? An aside: Jetz ...

Who gives two flying fucks what the company thinks? The fact that you ask that says you either were not around during 2012 when the company hammered us into this bullshit contract that I am sure you love. They did it in large part due to the memberships petty mickey mouse bullshit conduct at the ti...

We will just have to agree to disagree on whether now of all times it is appropriate to try an enact a coup of the MEC and force a representation vote that has the ability to change the fundamental structure of our union. How will the company react if we go through a lengthy reorganization while the...

Re: COVID MOA 2

CALPA doesn't exist anymore. A rose by any other name..... They lost. CALPA doesn't exist anymore. See above I think the landscape at ALPA is different. Do you think ALPA Group C members swing the levers of power in ALPA? ALPA Group A members hold a majority of power in the executive with 5 EVPs. P...

I struggle to understand how you can; 1.) Acknowledge that CALPA partner airlines leveraged tremendous resources almost entirely paid for by Air Canada pilots to pursue and subsequently win an adjudicated settlement that would see Air Canada pilots lose their jobs and permanently have their seniorit...

Re: COVID MOA 2

I can't believe how incapable some in our group are at understanding this. I think most members voted based on their assessment of the candidates running for their LEC Chair position, not just whether these candidates openly support joining ALPA. ALPA may very well be the right move under the right...

Re: COVID MOA 2

Shortly after I left Jazz in 2014, they started to give seniority preference within the initial groundschool to those who came from ALPA carriers. For example, if there were 10 in the groundschool and two came from ALPA carriers, those two would automatically get #1 and #2 in their respective class...

Tough not to call that a sweep for the anti-p4c crew. The 1 P4C candidate that ‘won’ retained his seat by acclamation. P4C is wildly less popular than the forums would have you believe. I believe the membership has delivered a clear message tonight that they will not accept ALPA at any cost and the...

Letko is all but completely divested from TRZ and has been for months. Friday at the bell they owned 203000 shares of TRZ or about .54% of the total outstanding shares.

The deal is far from closed.
Still subject to regulatory approval and another shareholder vote at the new price.
Then the real fun begins, BOTL for the TRZ pilots seems really fair now.

Re: Jazz Recalls?

The company will do what it needs to for survival, you cannot justify the current capacity on some of those routes using mainline (and in the near future rouge) equipment. On the other hand, ACPA will do what it needs to for optics. They need to ensure that a precedent is set that ANY contract viol...
