Re: DOH merge.

There's a reason we came and stay at TS, and most of us rather not see this merger happen either. No TSAM, I am trying to help you guys out. As you stated yourself the transat pilots dont even want to come to Air Canada. This could really work out for all of us, please help spread the word in the T...

Re: DOH merge.

All the Transat pilots in this thread that have talked about how much they would have preferred to stay an independent airline and how much better Transat is to work for then mainline should pledge their shares to Mach.

The Delta Airline Pilots are a real pilot group with a 70 year history of successfully organizing and negotiating. http://www.alpawatch.org/PDF%20C2015/Negotiators%27%20Notepad%2015-05%20--%20Scope.pdf http://dalscope.org/ Delta pilots have strong JV scope language and a history of enforcing it. Its a yearly average. As I understand Jazz wasnt going to be able to fulfill its summer sched and send over 35 people a month. You will see some all Jazz courses in the fall.

Re: DOH merge.

Keep in mind that much of the Rouge 767 fleet is at the end of their service life. The 767 is the same generation as the Airbus 310 which Transat is phasing out within the next couple years (although 767 production outlived 310 production by a long shot). Transat's fleet of 20 A330s is much younger...

I'm assuming your from Jazz with the RJ time. Is it true that AC has to take 90% of those at jazz that have the minimum experience as stated on the job posting and apply?
60% of all spots at AC will go to Jazz. 90% of eligible pilots who apply from Jazz will be hired.

Got the PFO a few days ago. College Diploma. 1000 hrs RJ PIC. Clean flight tests record. Had many training Captains as my references. Interview I thought went amazing. Very confused with the results. I’m upset to see that the groundschool I was supposed to be in was mostly OTS and next ones will GG...

Re: DOH merge.

So no DOH and no percentage based merger? An arbitrator will be looking at one or both of these options as a starting point. We're not going BOTL. So what exactly do you think is going to happen? Sounds like it's certainly in everyone's best interest to secure a deal before it goes to arbitration. ...

Re: DOH merge.

I don’t know where or who you got that info from but it’s completely false. They are headed somewhere, how else could you explain the fact that your 25% pilot was hired in 2006 vs AC at 1997. Further to that AC has hired over 100 Transat pilots (about 1/6 of your current list) how many have gone th...

Re: DOH merge.

Overall if all goes ideally, no one will ever notice a reduction in seniority % or upgrade times if affected. Most, if not all should benefit especially in a new contract. I'm sure when the MECs sit down and crunch the numbers to reflect this most can breathe easy. I'm very certain no one at AC wil...

Re: DOH merge.

I dont care about DOH, I just want this to go smooth and to all move forward together and if DOH with pay protection gwts that done then that is what we should go for. Im concerned about a relative seniority merge that would place 2006 hires at Transat against 1997-1999 hires at AC. That Transat pil...

Westjet is on credit watch because ONEX is going to load up the balance sheet with the purchase debt like they have done repeatedly in the past.

Lol wow. Hey remember AC makes its money on international routes. Last I checked WJ is probably going to action all 20 787s and probably many more widebodies past that. Enjoy the show. Last time you checked with who? Was that before or after you guys got picked up by the chop shop? Your soft produc...

This really sucks for the fine folks who went to AT because they had no desire to work at AC. Pay cuts for the people who were in their early years at Transat it looks like.
And massive raises for those on property for more than 4, what's your point?

I think everyone is getting worked up over nothing. I don't think they will merge the company. At least not with Mainline. Maybe with Rouge but that was a risk they took when they left Mainline for Rouge so they can not cry foul too much about that. They can't. Why do you people keep saying it? htt...

Nope your info is out of date Sharklasers AC did go the short course route for about a year in 2016-17 but went back to the full course when Murray became VP of flight ops.
Apologies then,
I obviously haven't been keeping abreast of what's happening on the widebody side.

Re: Logging cruise relief time outside of Canada

^ What he said. Recurrent sims are RP only (eval above 10,000") though, initial one is full type rating at AC. Log the hours, not the take-off and landings. Your info is out of date. Starting ~2 years ago AC stopped give full type ratings for RP positions. They now get a 'short course' on the 777 o...

So all of you that ditched TS in the past few years for AC will end up behind the pilots that stayed at TS on the seniority list if they blend them. You can rest assured that if the worst case scenerio merger happened the AC pilots would go down kicking and screaming. Article one of the ACPA contra...

Year 1 FO here and I will take home $3200 with a 6% ESOP match, which is another $280 or something like that. Seriously? That's what I took home when I was an Encore FO without pulling any overtime, but I got a 10% match. Your first year pay at encore is ~42.75 an hours so unless your countin...
