I'll be that guy and rehash an old thread.
Does anyone have an update on the Encore commuting lifestyle? Are the pilots in YYC still working 18+ days per month?

Reserve and Holding a Block
How long after completing training do pilots normally sit on reserve before they can hold a block? I know it must be different for each type/base. But ballpark??
I've searched but couldn't find the answer talked about recently on here.

Re: Pasco Commuter Friendly?
Hey so just to confirm....if you want to live and commute from Kelowna, do you have to find a crash pad to stay at while you are in Vancouver? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. There must be some decent (and affordable) crash pads close to YVR I would imagine. If only I could see an example schedu...

Thanks for the replies.
Given the choice what would be the best equipment to get a base out west? Either YVR or YYC

IATRA vs ATPL
Does anyone know if Encore is accepting pilots with only an IATRA? I know Jazz has started to do so, and someone mentioned to me that they might be starting to follow suit. I know you can get accepted by the flight path program with an IATRA, but the site stil says an ATPL is required prior to being...

Possible to bid for more than one base?
Thinking about starting the application process soon. Is it possible to bid for more than one base?
For example I expect I would likely get classic in Montreal, but could I put in a request for Vancouver and Calgary and then take the first one of those two that get approved?
Thanks

Re: Pasco Commuter Friendly?
Hi Delta602 We just issued our flight crew schedules this morning for all of August and the days worked varied from a low of 13 to a high of 18, with most schedules being 14, 15, or 16 days on, depending on aircraft and seniority. These were schedules with no vacation or other banked time off. Sche...

Pasco Commuter Friendly?
On the ads for Pasco they say pilots average 16 days a month. Anyone know of this is realistic? They say they offer confirmed seats for commuting and I'm wondering if the schedule is in fact commuting-friendly.

Re: CARSON YYC FO
FO pay just went up to 33k plus per diems. Probably 6 months or less for the upgrade too.
