To answer the original question I think our once great company is being driven into failure again due to 2 main problems. A management that has no pride in AirCanada and cares nothing about it's fate and secondly ACPA's inability to lead the pilots. ACPA has failed big time since CCAA in the fact th...

Crew screening

Hello all, anyone know how crew screening is affected by the new developments?

Flight ops says crew screening is status quo but I don't know if I believe them!

Any takers?

It is not an exact science! but drink lots of water leading up to the blood test and take milk thistle extract pills or liquid which can be bought at any drug store! If you have a fatty liver which is quite common they may send you for some extra tests to ensure you don't have Gall stones or other p...

Hey Traf I figured it out, you failed your AC interview! I'm sorry to hear that. Looks like a good career of tier2 flying ahead of you. But hey not everyone can make it to the big leagues!

And I'll wave at you as I taxi past your little airplanes!!!!

OK listen up tier 2 trash! You can wine all you want about what you deserve but the reality is that "Scope" isn't a mouthwash its the hand cuff you must live with and after the attempted end run your management tried during CCAA good luck getting it revoked!!! And for the guys who want to come over,...

I wasn't trying to start the war of words as I have friends at Jazz AC and Wj who are all reasonable people! The politics of Canadian Aviation will never change! AC thinks JAZZ is stealing our flying you think CMA and Georgian are stealing yours and so on. Blame management! Drivers should not be tra...

King air guy, just remember that if you go to JAZZ don't fall into the trap like these others! Don't develop a sense of intitlement!

Then if you want to go to mainline you won't have problems!

Hey bcflyer we had plenty on layoff as well and I seem to remember your fearless leader trying to steal as much of our flying as possible so if you want to start this kind of banter try to remember the facts! And as for the CMA and Air Georgian guys maybe it comes down to the fact that they don't sp...

Hey King Air guy, to my knowledge nobody has ever flowed up or down between the companies! As for the bad blood, I don't think its as bad as people make out! Both sides are just trying to better their own interests and thats just human nature and politics. There are people on both sides that would l...

Jump seat agreements are common place in the U.S. and Europe and its just a way for pilots to help other pilots! All company politics aside!

Just a suggestion as working togeather makes the whole industry better!

Jump seat agreements between pilot groups should have nothing to do with standby charges! ACPA and the PACT pilot group just need to hash something out! I know both sides are busy but pilots helping fellow pilots with commuting etc. would be nice! Someone from either assoiciation should just pick up...

Just because some of you haven't got the call yet doesn't give you the right to make up B.S. stories about the new hires experience! Everyone that has been hired to date is qualified so leave it at that!

CMA has with a couple of exceptions provided some great people to AC and there are 5 on the next course but they are not the only source! Since course 1 in july there were at least 15 jazz guys 2 westjet 3 or 4 jetsgo etc.
