Re: Serious answers where will I get funds from?

As mentioned above Seneca, Confederation and Sault, are substituted, which means flying it's covered you would only pay for tuition which covers the courses TC exams and so on, that's what i was told at Seneca open house some time ago, so i assume things haven't changed since.

Re: Where to go? To Europe or to Canada

Thanks for your reply! So maybe Seneca is good but I think flying on 703 somewhere in the North, have some fun and join later turboprop for me is much better than seating in a classroom for 4 years. Maybe I'm wrong. Or you highly recommend Seneca? There's also Confederation college and Sault colleg...

Hello Hellinas, first time I post on this website. For me the answer is quite clear : yes I want to be a flight instructor for a career. But maybe I wont. If I can find a school who is willing to pay me 80.000$ a year I would. Anyway that s what all the career flight instructors with an ATPL and so...

Re: "High time" college students

What do (subsidized ie Seneca, Sault, Confed, etc) colleges do with students who come into the program with "higher time" (PPL with 150 hrs)? Do they just get another 50 or whatever is allotted per student (200)? Or do they just get turned away because they're so close to getting a CPL anyways? Mos...

You dont pay for the flight training as you would with a flight school, somehow they get it from tax-payers or something like that, so u only pay for tuition covering the courses at the school.

Re: Choosing a Flight School

Don't pay anything upfront unless it's a college like Seneca or Confederation otherwise their taking your money and if they see your paying they will want to take more, they will often say you're not ready to solo, my friend logged 80 hours for PPL and they kept telling him to pay more for dual, i t...

Re: Pilot training and the possible shortage questions

If you want to go in to the airlines out of college, best program i can think of is The Honours of Bachelor of Aviation and Technology at Seneca College, graduates go as FO with GGN, Sunwing and JAZZ, at least that's what I've been told at their open house.

Re: College/ University or flight school

The aviation program at Sault College is covered by OSAP in terms of tuition wise, flying wise is substituted, so if your eligible depending on your income and other factors you shouldn't worry, apply while ahead to make sure OSAP can process your information.
