Encore was not started to take over flying already being flown by pilots at Westjet. Pretty simple

Weedpro has already responded to that post on Yammer. 800 "likes" and then his response. Don't waste your time. It was an amazing post on what's happened to this company.

Re: WJ Scab List
Hey JS. You may want to get your facts straight regarding the negotiating committee. It appears you don't know what you don't know. Yvr LEC have nothing to do with negotiating. The 3 guys involved aren't on the MEC or LEC. But hey, why let facts get in the way of your bs? You are incredibly outnumbe...

Re: Everyday at WJ : union busting
With reference to an RNP approach, it’s easier rather than harder than an NDB approach, so let’s call that one a win for the pilots. Yup. Sure. Just like all those RNP short gate approaches guys are doing info Yyc...... to the wrong parallel runway. There is much more programming to get to the RNP a...

Oh I forgot to add one more very important item. Some of the people we have had to fly with for multiple days makes the job very challenging.

Re: Everyday at WJ : union busting
In other words, and without wanting to sound contrite, the job of flying a 737 around North America hasn't changed much. It carries the same level of technical expertise and responsibility as it always has. I will need to disagree with this comment. When I started with WS we never went East of ywg. ...

Nicely said. I am a yes. Voting yes to a strike does not necessarily mean we will be standing around the barrels, burning pallets. Lots of tools in the box to use long before it gets to walking out. Nobody wants that.

Re: Let's all apply at Swoop!
With the way things are going, and the mess this company is in, I would not be surprised to see a change at the top in the near future. Labour unrest, Swoop to begin flying in just over 3 month and 787's showing up in 10 months with no routes announced and no base announced, perhpes this present lea...

"Having the ability to vote on company decisions" prior to ALPA. Hahaha. That's cute. I couldn't imagine the mess we would be in right now without ALPA.

So again NCP
Today, January 31, a memo was released publicly giving WS pilots a 2 year leave. So you have been given permission to "Swoop" on over to swoop. Will you finally put up, or will you finally shut up? You asked for a leave. You got one. Enjoy the ULCC

Re: Separate forum for Swoop <please>
If people don't want to work at Swoop, don't go to work at Swoop. This is basic economics and the right of citizens of a free society. WJ came along 21 years ago and brought sustainable competition to the airline market in Canada which provided consumers with choice, and in many, many cases brought ...

You never responded to my post wrt getting a LOA to go help start swoop. You stated earlier that you would like to be part of the start up ( or at the very least buy the swoop pilot a coffee). Have you changed your mind now?

Hey wing nut, It was just brought to my attention that JA has been offering a 2 year LOA for pilots wishing to go help start Swoop. I understand you have said you would love to go and help out with the launch. Well, here is your chance. I'm sure they will even start you off at the coveted "step 3". ...

Re: Hiring off the street any time soon?
Hey NCP, just a couple of other points. Again, look at what happened to the "senior" Qantas guys. Not a very good deal for them. It doesn't appear WS is playing by the rules right now. Of course Swoop is a common employer. Same type ( actually WS planes) and same routes. If the maint guys aren't doi...

Re: Hiring off the street any time soon?
Hey NCP. I guess you won't have to worry about paying all that tax on that huge gross income you're making, due to a lot of OT. Just take a look at Jetstar and what happened to Qantas. All that juicy OT will be long gone. That Swoop skipper will soon be doing it for you. That way you'll have more ti...

Re: Swoop Blacklist
So listen JS. We know you want to de certify. Ok fine. But why? You wouldn't be makinng your O/T $$ without union help. I've been at WS for over 17 years. I want it to be profitable. But not at the expense of the new and upcoming pilots. We should be paid what we are worth. The young guys climbing t...

Re: WJ Pilots seek ALPA unionization vote
Hey NCP Since you've stated in the past you don't intend to sign a card, why do you give a rats ass about voter turnout? By not signing you don't get a say, or a vote. Perhaps you could sign, then you could help make positive change and not just armchair quarterback? Once we get a new CBA you'll be ...
