Hey, don't get me wrong... I've been waiting many, many moons for this opportunity so nothing's going to stop me from taking it. I understand the importance of seniority and I'd have been there will bells on at course #1 if they'd have had me. I'm just wondering if anyone else has gotten the job off...

Hired! Sort of...
Just curious... of those who've gotten the big thumbs-up from AC, did any of you get a call with the job offer, but no firm course date? I'm in that boat but haven't heard of anyone else in there with me... just wondering if I'm starting a trend here... and when my boat's going to make port, of cour...

I have to remind myself that it's still MUCH better to be waiting for the "you're hired" call than waiting for an interview call. As well, Monday is soon approaching. Best of luck to everone in limbo I keep telling myself the same thing! I do know folks who've gotten on sooner than others who'd int...

Newhire stuff
Getting WAY ahead of myself here, but a couple questions for Jaques et al... In a course of X number of guys/gals, how is seniority assigned? Is it entirely random? If there are positions available on more than one equipment type (ie. once the RP spots start popping up), how do they decide who gets ...

Well I'm probably opening up a huge can of worms and leaving myself wide open for misinterpretation and the ensuing attacks, but here's my question: Why does everyone get all wound up about hiring someone based on nepotism or an internal recommend, but the hiring based on sex and/or race is okay? CO...

BACK to the main intent of the thread... anyone heard any word of when the next course will be after 7 November? Are they back to every two weeks?

JS ... do you know if phone calls will be made to inform of the job offer or will it be via mail? What were you told in your interview, our of curiosity? I was told PFO letter in 2 to 3 weeks or job offer phone call in 4 to 6. Although I wonder if that 4 to 6 is now going to become more drawn out.....

Re: ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. to return $300M to sharehold
Sorry for the quote a la Blastor.Assuming the Jazz and other anticipated spinoffs go ahead as expected, ACE Aviation will have more than enough cash to buy new planes and eliminate a pension deficit over 10 years as negotiated in bankruptcy court, he said.
