No idea. He said he's pausing them for those that didn't retaliate. We retaliated 'bigly'.

A US2 is $160 million. I think I'd rather have 40 AT802s than 1 US2.

Re: Canadian North Sold to EIC
Most airlines are way over managed in my experience. I remember working for one that had 7 aircraft and 1 manager.goingnowherefast wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 5:38 pm Nah. EIC is too busy gutting management teams. With so few management resources, they don't even know their own operating costs, or how to gouge.

Speedbrakes normally deploy automatically on touchdown as long as the handle is positioned correctly. The PNF ensures they auto deploy on touchdown and the reversers are working.

Do you just rotate in or do you actually work there? Pilots live like kings. They have maids, chefs, family compounds, chauffeurs. I'm not sure they're going to like living in someone's basement in Toronto.

I see. Is there anyone from India here that can comment if there is a glut of pilots there looking to gain experience overseas?

Will hiring foreigners even work? From which country will they come exactly? I can't really think of any where pilots have it worse.

What about the treats from within? Subtle? Implied? But still threats. Which threats are you referring to specifically? Everything I read seemed completely made up and childlike. Was referencing public comments (including Q&A or roadshow) from ALPA reps and/or counsel regarding the potential conseq...

It was any easy no for me. Like, it's not even close. I have no fear of any backroom threats from the labour minister. I actually want them to force us back to work publicly. Not in the shadows, so nobody can see what they are doing to us.

I stand by my earlier statement of my expectation that the ACAMEC will get a starting salary of 75-85 per year. I also believe that they will not actually strike and will call off a strike notice by 10:30PM on the eve of the strike. Why do you feel it likely a pilot at Air Canada will earn less tha...

A lot of operators will tell the fueller no additive as a standing order despite their aircraft POH requiring it. Next thing you know their fuel filter is full of ice, or in this case I guess bacteria.

Careful. I had a manager who was my best friend until rumors started to fly about unionization. Suddenly every conversation revolved about how awful it is to work for a unionized company.
I have no doubt Porter will join ALPA but maybe keep it to yourself until they do.
