Re: The E2-B NIW Visa Thread

I'm starting to see more services like this being advertised. I'd love to hear from people that have been successful or are currently in the process about which lawyer/company they used.

Re: Relief Pilot hour logging

:bear: They do the same IPT and SIM. But obviously not takeoff and landing part during IOE. You’re right, It used to be different course, RP used to go through a much quicker and shorter course. Many RP rushing through and had to book IPT/SIM in their spare time. So when MS came in he changed that ...

Re: Flair pilot program

Cut the man some slack. He’s been honest and information providing on avcanada. You’re taking his words and making something out of nothing. You know what he meant. So just stop. I've never seen a single person do more damage to a profession. Paying for ratings at Jetsgo, scabbing at Swoop, helped ...

It's interesting you didn't argue the going out of business part.

Re: Missing Caravan

This aircraft obviously had a ELT and transponder. I don't understand why they felt they needed to bring that up. The problem is ELTs don't go off sometimes. Transponders only work inside appropriate coverage range.

Re: 5,6,7 Pay

In another thread a 10 year NB CA says they make $245k with 1 OT trip. Where does the extra $40-45k come from beyond the pay table above? That’s the min guarantee at 75 hrs. I don’t know if any NB CA is working that little. Most doing 80-85. Per Diem. Training. Few more extras. Edit to add when you...

Re: Flair off runway excursion YKF

Nice to know that Flair operates their business model like a 703 would. Folks enjoy your $69 tickets at the expense of having a few broken bones. Company culture comes from the top. A chief pilot that lived in a van in the parking lot, paid for training at Jetsgo, and scabbed at Swoop to try to get...

Re: Cargo TA

Is there any language at all to stop them from reducing other WB positions when adding these freighter positions? That seems critical to me. We aren't protecting any jobs if that's not there, and worse than that we are trading good positions for worse ones.

I noticed TSB is releasing reports almost daily now that they can't duck out of the office and go to Tim's.

Re: Why are upgrades still happening at AC?

They were REALLY short on pilots. They've been hiring 500 a year for multiple years. So what you think is junior might not be so. Before Covid people with less than 2 years at the company were being awarded Captain positions. A lot of those awards have been stripped away now but people there for lon...

Re: Amphib caravan wrecked in Northern Saskatchewan

It doesn't really matter what your gear is when when traction is absolutely zero. You have to fly the plane as if you were still in the air. That usually means crabbing as you slide down the ice like a curling stone. The really tricky part is you can't stand up after getting out of the plane without...

If you call TC Medical they have an email address listed on the voicemail. Don’t forget the E at the end of the French “civile”. They responded within a couple of days. Could you please type out the whole email address if you know it? I can't understand the French part. It's ontcivilaviationmedicin...

Or those irresponsible millennials that bought bread and meat from the store instead of hand milling the flour from the wheat you grew last summer or the buck you speared, skinned, and butchered with a shard of obsidian.

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Increased Purchase Price to $18 per Share

There is no way Air Canada is in a financial position to buy another airline for nearly a billion dollars at this time. Even if they were the optics of dishing out that kind of cash while laying off a big chunk of your employees would be terrible. Perhaps in a couple years when things are returning ...
