Re: Be02/DC3T pay
Same as above , might as well put it out for all positions I don't work there anymore but it depends on what you bring to the table and can negotiate, the number of days you work, and whether you go to Antarctica or not. I'd guess somewhere between 90k and 150k. 1900 on the lower side and DC3 on th...

Any suggestions for those in the useless 25nm night xc portion of training? Pay up to tick the box and make TC happy Sorry, I meant any ways I can do things different to get more out of training? When you're doing your "build time" to get to 200hrs, make sure to get 25hrs of night XC PIC. Find a ni...

Lots of inaccurate information posted here. The Chief Pilot did not leave for greener pastures and its not a 24/7 on call deal. There will be two pilots assigned to the plane. 604 flights will be flown either single pilot or two crew depending on schedule and all 704 flights will be two crew only. ...

Sorry I’m not understanding your reply. Upgrade requirements should be met after a period of time for all FO’s, time on type I assume be the requirement most would only need. My reply was snarky in nature, you really come across as someone with little to zero industry knowledge, which is why you ar...

Advancement to the Left Seat has never been quicker, 2 years (or so) to a 220 Captaincy in YZ. You have options to get off flat pay, heaven forbid you may have to work for it, or worse yet relocate. Looks to me like that is a $260K / year posting. When during the interview were you promised that co...

You’re joking right? Rolex Singh? Sellout Singh? The only rights he cares about are his own. What are you talking about? I haven't seen anything indicating that Singh is/has/will support this. On Thursday, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh accused the federal government of undermining workers. "The Liberals...

Look man I get it, maybe that's over the line. But at some point we need to draw a line - or we end up making the same mistakes. I don't think it's unreasonable to say the WJ contract is junk and they settled big time . There needs to be acknowledgement and acceptance of that. Making these distinct...

Re: Question about Antarctic Pilot Experience
If you have significant time on twin otters or dc3 on skis and have a Canadian licence, it may be possible to do a contract with Borek or Enterprise. I believe BAS requires an EASA licence.
Could also join the New York Air National Guard to get on the “skier” hercs out of McMurdo.

Also I saw on PCC that it says "Intermediate Airline Transport Rating". That's hilarious. So then is TC wrong or PCC? Like what the hell is happening in aviation?!!! It's Individual Aircraft Type Rating I get the IATRA is mostly used for 2 crew and that it is after your MIFR and before your As but ...

Ask TC? Ok. https://publications.gc.ca/collections/collection_2021/tc/T22-242-2019-eng.pdf TC's authorized person manual. See page 79-82 for the requirements to sign off multicrew typeratings and high performance type ratings. The results may surprise you... Lol. Well I did speak with a current TC ...

I'm not supporting the MNRF posted rate of $1,192.16 - $1,442.83 per week, and I'm not trying to argue, but I (and I assume others) would like to know what the minimum acceptable wage should be? I'm not familiar with float flying so I don't have any reference. It's easy to complain about wages as w...

I've never been a manager in any operation. Define awful winter storm? Would slightly increasing prop rpm help mitigate that? Is prop heat really that effective on most of the KA's operating in Canada? For the future King Air drivers, this is how you deal with ice when your prop deice fails enroute...

Renting your house out could be an option as well. Depending on where it is, you could likely cover the mortgage payments with some spare change to help supplement the initial low wages.
