Re: Pacific Coastal
I've never been a manager in any operation. Define awful winter storm? Would slightly increasing prop rpm help mitigate that? Is prop heat really that effective on most of the KA's operating in Canada? For the future King Air drivers, this is how you deal with ice when your prop deice fails enroute...

So I had heard that there is zero facilities there with KB, but what are the living accmodations? I had heard it was tent living and you mention nothing about that in your reply It depends on the contract. One is full-time tent living, one may have a period (a month or two) in tents, and the rest a...

Renting your house out could be an option as well. Depending on where it is, you could likely cover the mortgage payments with some spare change to help supplement the initial low wages.

Finally there are bladder systems. These are lighter, but every one I've seen requires fuel pumps which are run off ship power. They are independent of the boost pums. The system I used had 4 independent pumps and I want to say that 2 could keep up with fuel burn of the engines. How does the dump s...

Re: PASCO’s Constant Job Ads
The scales don’t top out at 90-100 and they don’t truly reflect earnings potential in any case. Training increments add significantly to the scale, as do overtime payments, without working excessive days/hours. It differs across types and across bases, but I typically work 16 days a month and excee...

Re: PASCO’s Constant Job Ads
Here So you dug around for payscales much higher than average and still couldn't show us that any of them are "over $65000". The closest you came was missinipi (possibly the highest paying 703 the country) where under certain conditions (flying medevac) you can reach the peak canadian 703 FO of 650...

Producing hydrogen is an issue, but becoming more and more viable by the day as electricity costs continue to come down.
Much better option than a plane packed full of batteries. Hybrid powered by hydrogen seems like the best option with current technology.

Re: De Havilland Canada in Calgary News
Is this Viking building aeroplanes under the name DeHavilland, or is this something that came from Bombardier carrying the name on? Either way it's great news. I think. It's Viking. Hopefully they don't mess up the ducks as bad as they did with the 400 series Can you expand on this for the ignorant...
