We're approaching the end of June and on the TS side of things, there's hardly any talk about any merge. What kind of stuff/rumours is floating around at Jazz these days?

Try finding something in aviation if possible. When instructing, I got a second job working the ramp at an FBO. It helped to keep my head above the water financially and it was a great place to meet people. Eventually it led to my first turboprop job.

I think the Canjet contract is up in 2013, however, it doesn't mean we can't operate narrow bodies ourselves before then. The new agreement is just in case. It might not even happen at all. Nothing is written in stone about actually acquiring our own 737's. It's all talk right now.

Yeah it's not a perfect contract but overall it's good. The union guys worked hard for it and it was voted in at 75 percent in favour. I think the fleet renewal plan is to replace the 310's. There's talk of 767's starting in 2012. They might add another 330 or 2, but to have only 330's isn't very ideal for all the runs. But, who knows, talk is talk.

As far as the speedbrake. Often it's an ATC thing. You might want to start a descent, request it then get denied due to traffic or whatever reason. I can't tell you how many times coming in to YYZ we have no choice to use our brakes because they have to keep us above departing traffic.
