Re: TA Passed.
Pretty sure he left GGN long time a go. Ha, I flew with this guy. What a train wreck. He was pushed from GGN. Last I heard he was flying in Burma. I heard about the pillow. What happened with locking an FO out? He got into a small petty argument on the way into YPR if I remember, on the way back to...

Re: GGN accused of unfair Labour Practices
Time to put an end to this failed strategic initiative. It seems obvious that local management are ill equipped to deal with the evolving labour situation and the realities of unionization when dealing with legitimate unions. AC entered in to expanded commercial agreements with companies such as GG...

Re: CargoJet or Transat?
Transat. Schedule wise Cargojet leaves little room to get hours on the 767. Transat is a great employer. ALPA, benefits, excellent layovers and longevity.

Re: Thoughts on ACPA Joining ALPA...
ACPA did more for me in the first few months than what I worked under at GGN. Getting ALPA was a relief for the pilot group working under the authoritarianism of OREA and for those not familiar with OREA it was an in-house association set up by GGN . All GGN has seen ALPA do is tame the beast by off...

Re: GGN YYZ 1900 to Cease Operation
AC has intended to phase out the 19 seat/no FA product for a while. It wasn’t going to happen overnight. It will happen in phases. That is mostly a brand/marketing choice (witness the earlier removal of AC paint from the Express 1900’s). On a more macro level, upguaging/reduced frequency is inevita...

Re: TSB finds fatigue an issue in SFO lineup
Do you think the Air Canada corporation is involved with lobbying against the new rules? Against ? Yup . How else would Air Gerogian get away with what they do without Air Canada supporting the breeches or regulation and close to the line risks? Big daddy is behind the scenes hoping the rules never...

GGN YYZ 1900 to Cease Operation
Word in the sky via internal memos and top sources is GGN will cease it's 1900 operation in YYZ. Routes replaced by Jazz. Armchair critics from the North End might position this as a good thing, but others might say that promises of expansion on the jets are to thwart the strike votes that are alrea...

Re: Air Georgian wheel falls off on take off - YYZ
The state of their maintenance and the way they treat their pilots, rest and duty time is becoming legendary. Finally regulators are forced to take a look at their practices. Anyone who wants to enter into their mentoring programs should seriously consider other alternatives or increase your life in...

Re: Georgian Upgrades
Oh I'm well aware about other airlines and you're right, I avoid those airlines as well if I can, however, there's a difference in that they operate 705, have resources to support a cadet program, and are much more regulated and monitored. And I'm quite content with my career. Thank you for the rid...
