Re: Air Transat YOW

If someone HAD opened the door and deployed the slide, I'm curious what would the consequences of that have been (besides a round of applause from the rest of the pax)? Arrest with charges dropped? Black flag on your name with CBSA?

Taylor

The Westjet RNPs are proprietary yes, but secret? No. If you can get your hands on an RCAP (Restricted Canada Air Pilot) CD you can find them all on there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I heard the story (from someone who was left seat at Keystone at the time) was there were 2 other aircraft that departed on that same leg. Those 2 aircraft took on fuel but for some reason this guy chose not too. If in fact that is the truth, the guy stands alone...

your stupidy for not taking home what you "purchased". Again as far as I'm concerned....it's your money....use it.
Apparently what you fail to realize little one is that if you stay in aviation you'll have ample opportunity to draw from it for legit reasons when you get your first pink slip.

This is such an inappropriate use of public funds! There are too many pilots as it is. EI should be paying for people to go into the construction trades not into an industry that has a chronic oversupply of labour which is forcing wages and job satisfaction through the floor. Canada needs trades pe...

I think it depends if the tower needs you off the runway or not. If you don't have a bus coming up your ass then I'd plan the normal approach and keep it about 5 feet off for as long as safely able for the simple reason that it's FUN and promotes your own awareness of how the a/c behaves in ground e...
