Re: Guests?
I gotta ask. Why does WJ insist on calling their customers guests? If I am paying for a service, be it an airline ticket or car wash, doesn't that make me a customer? Most guests are the recipient of a service or hospitality at the invitation of another. Customers on the other hand are patrons that...

I hope the guitar (that was going as checked baggage) didn't get smashed.
That would have resulted in a viral YouTube video in order to gain compensation.

It would almost be worth having corporate security set up a Kijiji purchase "sting" on these vendors.
Just like many have mentioned, it only takes one or two idiots to ruin life for everyone.

You're right, on second glance there does appear to be some good curvature to the top of the balloon ... with enough speed the guys may be able to generate some lift & get it going.jjj wrote:The wing is a bit off but the rest is actually a bit more aerodynamic than the fuselage of a NG 737.

Those are interesting costs - eye opening.
Anybody know the operating costs of the Embraer 175 and 190?
That would be an interesting comparison to the 737-600/700 and 800.
Would the 175 and 190 be a better fleet addition than the Q?

I do completely understand but for some (Herc Driver) to pass it off as a non event because they are contract workers and not actual WJ employees isn't right either. It is a non-event. I don't blame Air Canada or British Airways when my luggage gets detroyed by Swissport in YYZ. I don't hold WS cul...

The good news is .................. It's not "profit loss" sharing for the 19th straight quarter.
Well done WS.
Good for you guys ... regardless of the size of the cheque .... it's still a cheque coming to YOU.
Enjoy.

There's a guy who's obviously a ground handler in your latest goofy "care-antee" commercial. Yeah, but he doesn't work in YYZ ........ There are NO WestJet TAC employees below the wing in YYZ. Re: Southwest stands ready to cut ties with WestJet
It dragged on too long with WJ waiting for SW to actually "do" something (since 2008).
There was a 1 April 2010 tripwire in the MOU.
Gregg decided to move onto bigger things ..... this simply wasn't happening fast enough for WS.
He has decided he has bigger fish to fry ...... good on Gregg.

Regardless of the "size" of the profit share ..... let's not lose sight of the larger picture here. WestJet just posted its 18th straight quarter of profitability.
That's the good news here.
Well done WJ. Looks like your hard work and cost containment has paid off.
