Kelowna - Edmonton - Slave Lake

The end of this month I will need to be flying from Kelowna to Slave lake either direct or via edmonton. Is it worth me finding some local smaller operators or just going with westjet. Or, if it is easy to get a conversion for my nz PPL and renting a plane somewhere?

Any ideas?

The sky is a purplish blue is it not?

Very true, but it teaches you a hell of a lot about flying that most schools can't. I think that is the most PC way of saying stop talking crap isn't it?

I like the 182, but then again it's a tad more on the expensive side than a 172 and hard to find a decent one.

Would anyone happen to have the specs of a 182 with floats installed?

eg speed, weights. etc.

Thanks in advance

Are there a typical set of tect books for your CPL in canada? Just curious so I could order them early and read them until I actually move.

Thanks in advance.
