Only weeks out of depot and they are working by themselves, attending domestic calls alone, and working (in small towns) as the only Cst on shift at night; all things they were taught at depot not to do. Except, in the case of Mayerthorpe and Spiritwood it was not solitary officers. During those sp...

What else do you want me to say?? After all those comments above you...you still don't get it? Yes, I get it - you don't like it...me TOO! But its legal, and your only alternative is to fly another airline. I agree, wasn't directed at you personally -- just at the managers who use ridiculous practi...

NavCan should be subject to fines, penalties, or restitution to the users of their service. It's a regulated monopoly with zero oversight. Ground stop? Oops, sorry airlines....hope that didn't cost you 'too' much money. Lost your flight plan? Again, big oops but nothing else. 10 minute spacing out ...

Alright, I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong. . . I haven't used the system yet, and obviously if people who have been using the system have such negative things to say about it, there must be more problems with it then I thought. My appologies for coming out swinging, I just hate when people...

"At pilot's discretion", in Canada, means that you can begin descent whenever you like, and you may level off at an intermediate altitude if you like. It's right in the AIM. Nobody is debating what it means in Canada.....at least that wasn't my point. It's hard to tell who's referencing what jurisd...

It is not a new radar system, it is mainly automated processing of flight plans. The base radar processing did not change.

I don't know that anyone has gone out of their way to hide it's removal -- it just happened on Saturday morning.

There are no checks and balances on Nav Canada. This whole non-profit thing seems to be a rationalization for spending money anyway they see fit , or raising fees. They were created by a federal government who had reached the breaking point on taxation, so they simply continued to take and keep the...

As Westjet continues to grow, they will eventually bury AC and it's antiquated approach to the airline business. The ironic thing is that as WJ continues to grow, their way of doing business will start to reflect AC's more and more. WJ seems to be moving away from the low cost carrier business mode...

The fact that Westjet does not overbook is one of many reasons why I haven't flown AC in years, and am in no rush to unless I have no other option. The last thing I need at the beginning or end of a trip is the stress of walking up to the counter, hoping that the seat *that I paid for* is still avai...

I suspect he had a lot of free time with which to improve his game afterward. Probably. Incidentally, the crew had placed the gear selector in the "down" position, but the gear did not extend (nor did the flaps), as they'd missed a checklist step that places the hydraulic system into high pressure ...

Isn't it all about following procedures, really? That is a terrifying prospect with regard to the efficiency of certain airports. (Don't know about any that CMA flies into specifically.)
