Re: Encore AME jobs

Dash: Let's say an AME that has been licensed for 15 years with a Q400 endorsement walked in and wanted a job on the floor. What would his wage be? $27.41?? If so those are E.I wages! NCA would pay $38.00 hr. No gimmicks with profit sharing or share options or 7% this or that. Just money in pocket. ...

Advertizing top wage is only part of the equation. More important is how long will it take to get there. Also part of the problem is ...

I believe they are doing turns / overnights for Southern Charter Operators. As well as working with North Cariboo's importation of the Q400's.

Re: Dash-8 question

The reason Bombardier does not recommend taxiing on one engine is due to past history of cracked nose gear sidewalls and cracked outer nose gear cylinders. Dowty attributes the cracked outer cylinders due to single engine taxi.

I agree with the previous posts. A national representation would better serve everyone and I would definately support such an organization.

Re: AME at New Zealand

I worked there from 2005 - 2006. People were great. Unfortunately the wages were low and the cost of living was high. Most of the Kiwi's I worked with eventually ended up in Australia due to the opportunities and the higher wages.

Apprently a few thought it was funny. And yes I know what AEA is. And what does Garmin have to do with the conversation? Did you get pictures of the meal. It seems your quite proud of it. And I do not have a problem but obviously I hit a nerve. Are you an aspiring Encore Employee? :butthead:
