Perimeter ACA wage between $32.00 to $50.78 hr plus Lead Hand/Crew Chief premiums of $1.50/3.00 hr. Working on Metro's and DHC-8's.

Dash: Let's say an AME that has been licensed for 15 years with a Q400 endorsement walked in and wanted a job on the floor. What would his wage be? $27.41?? If so those are E.I wages! NCA would pay $38.00 hr. No gimmicks with profit sharing or share options or 7% this or that. Just money in pocket. ...

Dash8300: It takes approx. 13 years to reach top pay scale if you are a newly licensed AME. I agree with your statements concerning company policy and pay increments. NCA rates as follows:
Apprentice: $18.54 - $22.76
AME single endorsement: $25.00 - $43.00
dual endorsed: $27.00 - $44.00
+ $1.00 Lead Hand, +$2.00 for Crew Chief.

Don't know where you are getting your info but there has been no layoff's as of today at North Cariboo. Does Encore pay better then U.I?

I believe they are doing turns / overnights for Southern Charter Operators. As well as working with North Cariboo's importation of the Q400's.

The reason Bombardier does not recommend taxiing on one engine is due to past history of cracked nose gear sidewalls and cracked outer nose gear cylinders. Dowty attributes the cracked outer cylinders due to single engine taxi.

I worked there from 2005 - 2006. People were great. Unfortunately the wages were low and the cost of living was high. Most of the Kiwi's I worked with eventually ended up in Australia due to the opportunities and the higher wages.

AMEtonyd: The company I work for is an Alberta based fixed wing Operator with M2 cat. aircraft. Apprentice wages start at $22.85 and are on a five year scale topping out at $29.38.

Apprently a few thought it was funny. And yes I know what AEA is. And what does Garmin have to do with the conversation? Did you get pictures of the meal. It seems your quite proud of it. And I do not have a problem but obviously I hit a nerve. Are you an aspiring Encore Employee?
