Re: Any updates on training?
If I’m not mistaken, the job ad was never taken down during the pandemic. Every month, I got a LinkedIn update that they’re hiring ATC and FSS. I think the person you're quoting might be on to something. Nav Canada did post a LinkedIn post today advertising ATC hiring. And a tweet as well. Again fr...

Re: Random Applicant Question
I was 21 when I started training intially. I am 23 now after being recalled. Oldest in my class is 34. Not sure how helpful that will be, I'm also not sure how they factor age into the hiring process. Best of luck! Thanks! This is the type of answer I was looking for. I don't think/would not think ...

Re: Random Applicant Question
No such thing as too old or too young to be hired, but keep in mind that training requires you to be on your toes, to retain and recall information quick enough, and to know how to dig yourself out of tough situations by being creative; I find older trainees tend to rely on trying to find the same ...

Random Applicant Question
Hi everyone, I have such a random question! LOL Seeing as we've lost almost 2 years of our lives due to the pandemic; I was curious, what is the general age of most applicants? I feel like I've been in the candidate pool forever, and feel the perception may be that I'm getting "too old" for a career...

Extension to applications??
Does anyone know if there will be an extension to applications due to COVID? My application next steps are "ASSESSMENT" although not yet invited. I time out in January, but wondering if they're going to extend due to the freeze?

Re: YYZ Feb. 2020
Did anyone get an offer (email from HR) to test in Gander or was this just me? I did! I'm going to the weekend session, how about you? Congrats!! I’m going on Friday, flying out of London on Thursday. Probably should have done Wednesday to be safe but being a student I’m strapped for cash. Do you k...

Re: Timing Out
I'm in YEG and honestly thought that if you made it past bootcamp would have a halfway decent shot at getting a spot on a course. From my bootcamp only half passed and were "eligible for offer" and of those 5 only 2 got offered spots. So the other three of us are still sitting on "eligible for offe...

Timing Out
Hey Everyone, Just wanted to ask; does timing out (18 months from passing initial online assessment) while waiting for an invitation to an assessment happen more often than not? Is there chance of actually being invited in-person super slim? Although I'm some time from timing out, the thought of it ...
