I agree with Ralliert. Honestly there are already lots of threads on this place on both avcanada and pprune. The only thing you can expect to gain by going to pan am is mental illness. It's a major scam. STAY AWAY!!!! Getting worse and worse all the time. It's been a while since I was there but I've...

Ya. I suppose its not all that great. But for a fresh grad its a whole lot better than going to throw bags in the arctic with the possibility of maybe eventually getting to fly something from the middle of no where to the middle of no where. (unless you enjoy that sort of thing of course) Susi Air p...

ya. Captains get $2000USD per month tax free. They will pay you something less until you are checked out as Captain. For insurance reason captains have to have 1000 total time and 500 turbine at the moment. This may change in the future. They will consider hiring foreign FO's but likely only if you ...

Caravans in Indonesia. 2 crew passanger scheds and charters. Captains are all Western pilots. FO's local Indonesians. Nice people, fun place to work. Preferably people with caravan time. But other turbine is ok.

http://www.senecac.on.ca/cms/school/karl.jsp Spoke to him recently and he's online and enjoying it. Great guy took advantage of an opportunity. However, he does speak Chinese. Things are changing though. Chinese Airlines are starting to open up to the idea of hiring foreigners. Even those who don't ...

I agree. There is plenty of opportunities overseas for those willing to take a little risk. It is unlikely that a company overseas will hire a Canadian over the phone or by e-mail. But if you show up at their door, it will be difficult for them to say no. I know of a company that flies Dornier 328's...

haha Toronto Airways...... haha. sorry
but seriously. Canadian Flyers at Markham is a great place. Good people, great environment and no rediculous seniority system to fly a seminole like some other schools in the area. And they have a Cirrus now.

If I understand our Indian friend correctly, he just wants a CPL and not multi IFR. Indian airlines will hire their nationals with just this. I would recommend B.P. Flight Training with bases in Midland and Parry Sound. Cost of living is cheaper up there and cost of flight training also. It's a smal...

Power lever controls load in percentage. Its a toy. Whats the point? I guess it doesnt matter when the students are going di...

I'd have to say Markham. Its good to learn on a 2000x50' runway. The atmosphere is great there to. During the summer its pretty common for instructors and students to fire up the BBQ and crack open a few beers at the end of the day. Its close enough to buttonville that I'm sure you'll get plenty of ...

Ok then thats fine. In all honesty some people really do enjoy being here because of the money and lifestyle. So thats good that you expect it to be a good experience even after seeing it. It was a bit different for me because I came expecting something much different. Anyway, I'm still pondering my...

But if they are so good, why are you not going to work there? And I can't really understand why you've decided to come to SJZ even after visitin...

At least in Canada pilots have the luxery of being able to communicate with maintenence. The planes I fly are maintained by a group of about 15 guys. 2 speak passable english. So when I had an alternator failure in the practice area I immediatly returned to the airport and reported to maintenence. B...

A bit off topic but I got the chance to sit in the jumpseat of a 737-800 doing circuits with F.O.'s who had 250 hours total. All has to do with supply and demand. Yes there is movement in Canada, but its still pretty bad for pilots compared to the rest of the world. India isn't much different than C...
