You think La Ronge is far North? Really? Have you ever lived out of your city of birth?

Highly Sought After Positions?

The Superior Airways add put a smile on my face. I don't think $38 to $38 is a decent wage for an experienced tech let alone in Red Lake.

Re: "needs a AME"

WOW thats some add, reminds me of the one from Kelowna a while back. I wonder who writes these? Someone with a 4 yr degree in HR and has never saw an aircraft. If I was DOM or maint manager at a place like this first thing I'd do to a decent tech would to apologise for the add.

Re: KENTING

I remember an ex Kenting guy telling me about that disappearing machine on the ferry. He said the pilot was a smoker and his guess was he lit up a cigarette in a cabin full of gas fumes.

Aviation tech training IMP in Wings magazine

Anybody read the story about the IMP group and their training being offered? In the Jan/Feb Wings.

The Beaver has been here for 70 plus years so probably 10s of thousand of pilots have flown it. How many replies are you expecting.

Re: Canwest Air

I'm not sure that Jake had much to do with the day to day hiring of pilots. He was the figurehead at Canwest for the Mennonite Mafia that put the company together to get the AB Gov't medi vac contract $$$$$$$$. But yes the current reign isn't so good.

Sunwest Crew Chief?

How is it that a company with a huge diverse fleet to maintain is advertising for a crew chief? I would assume that there are quite a number of qualified AME's on the floor who could move up to this position. There was in every outfit I worked at. Whats up? Not a hangar full of apprentices is there?

Re: Aircraft Type course

NO never. Everyone is looking for people. Why would you spent $15,000 on a type course? It's best if you get some experience on the type before going on course. Is this the case? Doesn't sound like it.

Re: KFC Maint Controller ad

Did you get any replies on this position? I've contracted there a few times and heard a bit about the company but I'd not feel comfortable telling you to take or not to take that position.
