Re: Avada Kadabra

If any wannabe needs advice or questions asked feel free to PM me for free before you pay this guy. I remember at one time on this site there were users that did resumes, provided insight on their paths, and mentored people up and coming because we've all been there. We are part of a community, we ...

Haven’t done that since the MAX took over the route in 2018. The route (YYT-LHR) was suspended with the MAX grounding.

Re: Position Vs Years of Service

Couple of questions... (off topic) With regards to bidding at AC - When a bid closes, are the awarded positions locked in stone? For instance, an FO 320 is awarded CA 320. Is there anything that could change this on the next or any subsequent bids? Are new awards provided some sort of "estimated st...

Re: Career First Officer at AC by design?

So much about nothing... the psych test was a non-event, in fact many in my class were called back to redo it because their answers could not generate an accurate score. They were then told that if their second test wasn't accurate enough that they would then meet with an AC Doctor and do an in pers...

I know of some OTS candidates that were called last week for the June 18th PIT course.

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Man, 2 months between PIT and sim would be nice. You could know the SOP's inside and out. You're on flat pay anyways. Going from a turbo prop to an A320 you almost need that much time... no complaints from me! Did you get one of the Berlin courses? I've seen a bunch of new hires are heading over th...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

From what I can tell and heard, there will be a small class on May 14th then none till September I've heard the same. I'm a recent new hire and had to wait 8 weeks after my PIT before getting in the sim because the training department is so backed up and sim slots are limited. From what I've heard ...

Re: What is the Average Time to Upgrade from Express to Air Canada Mainline?

OK. Get a degree, apply for pilot, no experience necessary. Perhaps the traveling public should know about this. I am thinking raybans and surfer dudes. Hollywood rules. Am I wrong? Yes you are very wrong. I’m a recent OTS new hire who has never worn Raybans, am not a “Surfer Dude” and does NOT HAV...

Re: Deadheading, Flight Duty Time?

Deadhead before operating is included in duty day calculation. Deadhead after operating isn't included in duty day calculation but the period deadheading doesn't count as rest. What if I deadhead in the day prior and do not operate. If my deadhead alone is 12+ hours the day prior does that count as...

Deadheading, Flight Duty Time?

Is deadheading to work which is required by your company counted as duty time? I have two 13 hour shifts followed by a 12 hour deadhead required by my company to travel to another base and then work again the next day. To me that is three 12+ hour duty days. Do I require 24 hours off after doing the...

Re: The Air Canada OTS thread

Any idea on how long after the video interview candidates are getting called? Is the next step an in-person interview in Toronto? I only just recently did the video portion.

Thanks for the info... Anyone else got any pointers?
