Re: DEC
Giving excuses for a bunch of qualified pilots getting bypassed in order to get temporary foreign pilots to come in as captains and avoiding paying competitive wages is unacceptable. This should be unacceptable to everybody, as it goes way above and beyond reciprocal agreements. I could understand ...

Re: Sunwing hiring update
Well..I guess that Sunwing will have to do without my services. Sent this to Ms.Furtado today: "Hi, Nancy, After some thought, and consultation with my spouse, I’m writing to cancel my interview with Sunwing. Simply put, your starting salary will not enable me to meet my financial obligations to my...

Re: Hiring DEC's
Is the company looking to change this? Your use of the word "currently" caught my eye. Contract negotiations are ongoign. Anything is possible I suppose. With typical overtime, what could a year one DEC expect to make with present contract? And how many days is per month worked on average once able...

Re: Sunwing Interview Process
Is Sunwing running any ground schools this summer or do they start in the fall? The next groundschool starts Aug. 12th. Looks like 12 spots currently, but that can always go up or down. I received the positive post interview email and references have now been called. What is typically the next step...

Re: 2018 Pilot Hiring
Would 6000 hours+ corporate jet time (Challenger, Lear, Sovereign) meet the Captain upgrade requirements at SWG should a vacancy be available? Also, has anyone from the May interviews had references called as of yet? Thanks. Minimum Upgrade Qualifications 6.5.1 To qualify for initial upgrade traini...

Re: Any Commuters?
Are there any commuters from the West Coast at AT CYYZ? If so, does this generally work well all things considered and any comments as to how feasible a West Coast commute could be in the time ahead, operating both the A321 & A330?
Thx.
