Re: Wil Jazz hire with instructing time only?

Any reason why they wouldn't reply to someone with 4600+hrs 800+hrs multi turbine time with multi-crew and FMS experience? Application has been sitting for months. Done a few updates but nothing. I feel like I'm doing something horribly wrong but none of my friends can tell me what. The thing you d...

I’m not sure where you get the idea that they are hiring... oh wait....6FFCCDD0-B339-4B08-8426-2A7C58D5165E.jpeg Maybe offering WJ a tier under Encore? WJE probably has routes that routinely have like six people on the Q, put a 1900 on those! Or Saab, I doubt they will entertain the 704 world for a...

They aren't wrong. They'd clear you to depart and you'd still be waiting on the back end. I'm sure that'd go over great in yul or yyz.

Re: Best place for Multi/IFR that is NOT Cornwall??

I see no reason not to do a CDA approach, even with an engine out. I would hold off on flaps until established final after completing the circling maneuver. The reason being is that you want to be certain that you will be able to level off at minimums, especially if you are circling. exactly, circl...

Re: Best place for Multi/IFR that is NOT Cornwall??

I am curious on how they teach a RNAV approach especially LNAV. Off course with LPV/WAAS or ILS, you have the glide slope and an auto-pilot, so no worry there. See my attached file for RNAV RWY 10 for example. I heard instructors there wanted students to descent from whatever the top of descent (TO...

Re: Best place for Multi/IFR that is NOT Cornwall??

Cornwall teaches to the test, you will learn how to pass the ride, (with their in house examiner), but not much more. They are a cheap way to get the sticker for your Aviation Document Booklet, but not much else. The quality of your training is going to depend more on the instructor than it will on...

Re: Best place for Multi/IFR that is NOT Cornwall??

Hello, All I ever hear about is Cornwall for Multi/IFR and I was wondering if anyone had any other recommendations or info on any other schools. For example, PRO IFR in Vancouver or Moncton Flight college. I want to go to the place with the best instructors and training, not necessarily the fastest...

Re: Seeking Captains to fly in Asia

One of my acquaintances does this, makes 30k a pilot recruiting around the world, depending on the region.

Kind of a pyramid scheme, they work around the company recruitment and act as your agent instead of you contacting the company direct.

We have to define suitable accommodation so that companies can't make us sleep in a shed, detailing proper fatigue management isn't unreasonable.

and they added a requirement of FRMS for operators who do long haul operations; and still, you people piss and moan. And you'll release the aircraft back to service after you "buff that out"? I expect that Air Canada will assure a proper proper repair.

Re: Another ATAC effort.... aka sidestep.

Its just the typical action=reaction system that happens when things are out of control. Operators, on the flip side are saying that many young 20s pilots would just bail from the KingAir or 1900 to drive 320 or 737 no matter how much you pay them. How to protect that investment in training these d...

There IS a problem. Transport admits it. Science proves it. Why are you so blinded?
Just as in denial as management that's why. It's legal now, so if you're fatigued that's your problem.

And as flawed as it may be, I'd almost rather America's healthcare system. I've almost died in the waiting room of an ER needing emergency surgery while waiting 9 hours to be seen. Loved ones of mine would still be alive due to the organ donor list joke here. Sure I'd have to pay, but I'd gladly go ...

You’d have to pay me a lot more than double to get me to move to the land of the orange baby To each their own, whoever their leader is, making double is an insane change of lifestyle, not including the lower cost of living in the US.
